56. Adjusting and Accepting

*Start of Flashback*

Eve looked at her boyfriend. They'd been dating now for six months, and it was all a little too unreal. They oddly made a great team.

She wondered why they'd been enemies all through middle and high school. It really didn’t make sense. They were so good together.

He had this way of looking at her that made her feel like she had all his attention.

Of course, she had grown accustomed to him looking at her fiercely as they argued in class, so this was not much different.

"You're inspecting me again," He covered her eyes with one hand. Her two hands pulled his away from her eyes. He loved the flash of possession he saw there.

"You're mine so I can look when I want," she said with a shrug.

Goosebumps crawled up his arms and legs. He loved it when she called him hers. She had no idea just how right she was.

He kissed the top of her head. Reggie was dreading college.
