Anathema - The Curse

"What does that mean?" Anya asks, confused.

"Everyone generation has a treasure,

A treasure which is collected and treasured.

Wherever there is water and soil on this island,

The treasure of Sadaphuli lies there." I repeat the riddle in English.

"But there might be tons of places on the island which have both water and soil." Grace says, exasperated.

"That there are, but there is only one place where there is an abundance of soil and water." Uncle Harsh says, thoughtfully.

"Where, Uncle Harsh?" Gregor asks.

"The waterfall."

"The waterfall? There is a waterfall on this island?" I ask.

"Yeah, I need to go there. This might be it." Uncle Harsh says in a daze.

"Uncle Harsh!" Grace shouts, breaking him out from his daze.

"You guys might be able to go home. I'm sure now that the go- I mean the ships are behind the waterfall." Uncle Harsh growls out, again.

His words fill us up with hope. The thought of my parents makes my throat heavy and I cough to clear it.

"We need to go." Uncle Harsh grunts.

"But Uncle Harsh, it's late afternoon now. Even if we find the boats, it will be very late in the evening, right?" Noah reasons.

"Yes, you are probably right. Thank you, Noah." Uncle Harsh replies, looking resigned.

"So, let's rest now and gather our energies. We will leave in the morning. Fine, everyone?" I ask.

Everyone nods.

I'll see you soon, Aai, Dad.

Just have to get to the waterfall.
