Chapter 97

Taytum arrived the next day. I had informed King Asmodeus about Taytum's arrival. Diamond and I have been looking forward to this day ever since last night. Diamond's excited cause she finally gets to return home, I on the other hand, I'm excited cause Benjamin would finally have someone to talk to.

I just hope that it would work. Diamond said it would be best if we leave Benjamin and Taytum in the same room. I had a bad feeling about this but I decided to trust Benjamin. Today Damien said he had something important to discuss. We all met him in the Tavern for some weird reasons.

Although everywhere was quite, perhaps he booked the Tavern. "We are all gathered here to discuss about the preparation of Harriett's wedding" Damien said as he looked at Harriett.

"You're overreacting brother... We would handle it once we get to our Kingdom. Why don't we enjoy ourselves in the main time" Silver said. "Are we sure her fiancee would show up for the wedding?" Ivy asked. We all looked at Ivy.

"Don't give me that look... The truth stares us in the face and yet we refuse to accept it" Ivy said. "It doesn't matter what you think Ivy, as long as the couple love each other your opinion is if no use" I said. I turned to Harriett, I held her hands.

"Don't be scared.... Temptations would rise but both of you would over come it" I said with a smile. Harriett gave me a warm smile. I took a sip from the glass of water. I felt my chest tighten. I have a feeling something bad has happened to Benjamin. "I hate you" Was the next thing I said.

Everyone looks at me. "Lilith?... why is your necklace glowing?" Harriett asked. "You annoying piece of pancake.... What are you doing in my Kingdom? Where's Lilith?" I said. "Is... Is she alright?" Harriett asked. "Lilith.... Look at me" Diamond said. I looked at Diamond.

"Benjamin everything would be fine" Diamond said as she placed her hand on my cheeks. "I don't want to live anymore... I want to kill myself" I said. I ran outside. They tried to stop me but I broke free, I have no idea where I'm going, all I know is that I'm going where ever my legs take me.

I got to a river and I did the dumbest thing ever, I jumped into the river. I can't swim, I just hope it would be a quick and painless death. I tried my best to swim to the surface but I couldn't, I felt something hold my legs.

I looked down and I saw a hand, the same hand that pulled me down to Nari's Kingdom. I thought I would only see her in Damien's Kingdom. It pulled me down so quickly that I lost consciousness.

When I woke up, I was laying on the floor. I stood up. "Ah... You're awake. How wonderful" Nari said as she took a glass of wine for a maid. "Would you like to join me?" She asked. "I'm good" I said. "Suit yourself" Nari said as she drank the wine. "I don't understand" I said.

"Oh you see this is the finest wine that has ever been made. There's only two of this wine in the world" Nari said. "I'm not talking about the wine... Why am I here?" I asked. "That's simple... The little Prince made a wish on his Birthday.... Would you like to know what he wished for?" Nari asked.

"What was his wish?" I asked. "He wished to be reunited with his Mother" Nari said. "Why am I dragged into this?" I asked. "Well since you both share the same soul it means if he goes you go" Nari said. "What? You can't do that" I said. "I'm afraid I can... I'm the goddess of death after all" Nari said.

"Don't let the boy die" I said. "It's what he wished for" Nari said. "He has a lot greatness ahead of him" I said. "He doesn't seem to see it that way" Nari said. "What do I have to do?" I asked. "There's nothing you can do" Nari said.

"Nari please you have to do something.... Don't let the boy make such a great mistake" I said. "His fate is sealed" Nari said. "If his fate is sealed that would mean mine is sealed as well... Didn't you say I have a great destiny ahead of me? If I die what's gonna happen to my purpose?" I asked.

"What do you propose I do?" Nari asked. "Grant the boy his wish... He has the right to know his Mom but don't let him stay Nari for both our sakes" I said. "What would you give to me in return if I grant your wish?" Nari asked. "I'd do anything... Just don't let the boy die" I said.

"Hmm... Very well, since you want to live so badly. I'd do it if only you return to this river with your blood as a sacrifice" Nari said. "All you need is my blood? Why didn't you say that earlier? Nari I would give you as much blood as I could possibly give" I said. "Very well then you may leave... I've given the boy permission to see his Mother. He'd return really soon" Nari said.

The moment I opened my eyes, I coughed out water. Damien knelt down beside me. "Where's Benjamin? Where are we?" I asked in panic. "You jumped into the water" Damien said. "Take me to Benjamin.... Fast" I said. "You haven't recovered yet" Diamond said.

"Take me to him.... Now... We don't have time to loose. What's the quickest way back?" I asked. "Let's go, I'd carry you there" Damien said. Damien carried me back to the Castle. The minute we got there, I jumped down and I rushed to Benjamin's room.

I met Benjamin laying on the bed, he was drenched from head to toe. I met Miss Margret. "Where were you guys when he jumped into the water?" I asked. "We were at the lake, he had a word with his Father. After that he changed" Miss Margret said.

"What about Taytum?" I asked. "He and Taytum got along just fine before he jumped in... If I may ask Lilith, why are you drenched?" Miss Margret asked.

"We went for a swim" I said. "I see" Miss Margret said. "What about the girl?" Damien asked. "She ran home cause Benjamin almost choked her to death" Miss Margret said. I turned to Benjamin. "Hey buddy... Do you really want to see your Mom so bad that you wished for death? If you die what would I do?" I said.

"He'd be fine Lilith" Damien said. "I know you hate your Dad Benjamin but no matter what happens he's still your Dad" I said. "You seem tired what can I get for you?" Miss Margret asked. "Leave us" Damien said. Miss Margret left the room, Damien sat beside me. "You care too much about this kid.... Why?" Damien asked.

"He reminds me of me growing up. My family turned their backs on me just because I didn't do something they wanted me to do. It hurts cause I had to spend five years of my life fending for myself. Living in guilt, anger and hatered for my family" I said.

"What did they ask you to do?" Damien asked. "It's a long story... All we really wanted is to know what it feels like to love and be loved" I replied. I felt someone hold my hand, I thought it was Damien so I didn't bother to look down.

"Miss Lilith are you here for him or me?" Benjamin asked. I looked at Benjamin, I'm so happy to see him awake. I hugged him tight. "Are you alright?" I asked. "I'm good.... Miss Lilith guess what" Benjamin said. "What?" I asked. "I saw my Mom" Benjamin said in excitement.

"Really?" I asked. "Yeah... She was so pretty. She told me she loved me. She also said that I shouldn't hate my Dad.... I really wanted to stay but Mom said if I stay you'd stay as well" Benjamin said. I knew that was Nari and not his Mother.

"Where's Taytum?" Benjamin asked. "She left" I replied. "Did I hurt her? She must hate me..... Miss Lilith could you accompany me to Taytum's house?" Benjamin asked. "Sure... We'd go in the evening" I said.
