Chapter 120

Diamond and I went to the throne room. Everyone was present, well except Ella, she had to take care of Lilith.

"Your Majesty, it's a relief that both the girl and the boy were found... But the question is after this incident are we still going to perform the wedding?" King Benjamin said.

"King Benjamin, I'm aware that you are concerned about the well being of your son, so are we. Make no mistake Nathaniel and Eleanor has been through alot and it's quite unfortunate that things happened the way it happened but have this in mind that the wedding would hold but not now" Silver said.

"When? When would the wedding hold?" King Benjamin asked. "When Lilith is strong and things go back to normal" Diamond said.

"So we're just going to wait till a human girl recovers?.... Since when do we have to wait for a human to recover before we go on with the ceremony?" Ivy asked.

I glared at Ivy. "Cut the poor girl some slacks. She has been through alot already.... She needs time to pull herself together. We can perform the ceremony anytime but what's more important the wedding or an innocent soul?" Sylvester asked.

The room was silent. "It's a terrible situation right now but I suggest we suspend the wedding for now" Jason said. "I can believe you're in support of this injustice Jason" Ivy said. Ivy walked up to Eleanor.

"I can't believe that you guys would stand in the way of someone's happiness...." Ivy said. She looked at Diamond. "Diamond aren't you suppose to be a loving and compassionate Queen? A Queen who is graceful and is loved by all... I can't believe you of all people would take their side." Ivy said.

"It is indeed true what you've just said about me but Lilith is like a sister to me. I care about her more than anything in this world..... It's no surprise you wouldn't get it. How would you? When you're selfish and entitled" Diamond said.

"I'm not selfish, if I was I wouldn't be so concerned about Eleanor" Ivy said. "Everyone is concerned about Eleanor.... You're making it look like we don't care" Silver said. "Ivy look we are worried about Eleanor but right now Lilith isn't in good shape" Diamond said.

Ivy seemed angry. "Lilith, Lilith, Lilith that's all you think about. One day you're going to wake up to the truth, one day you'd realize that Lilith isn't who she claim she is. I pray that by then it wouldn't be too late" Ivy said. She eventually left with Eleanor.

"Benjamin... I gave you my word that your son's wedding would be held in my Kingdom and I don't intend to go back on my word anytime soon" I said. "It's no big deal... I don't mind if the wedding would take a bit longer. Besides what's the rush?" Nathaniel asked.

We discussed for a while. Ella walked into the throne room. "Diamond she's awake" Ella said. "Really?" Diamond said. "Mhmm" Ella said with smiles on her face. "I need to go see her" I said.

"I think it's best you wait for a while.... I mean she just woke up and we don't want her to get stressed out" Diamond said. "I agree with Diamond on this one bro" Silver said.

Diamond left the throne room. We finished discussing the issue, I went to my room to relax. There was a knock on my door. "Enter" I said. The door opened and Diamond entered my room. "How is she?" I asked. "Um...." Diamond said.

"Diamond what happened?" I asked in anger. "She isn't in her room" Diamond said. "What?!!" I asked. "Relax she just went for a walk..... She's needs it to relax" Diamond said. "Are you sure that is a good idea?" I asked.

"Yes she needs to calm down a bit" Diamond said. I exhaled in relief. "Look at you acting all worried. You really do care about Lilith" Diamond said. "I ought to, as long she stays in my Kingdom it is my responsibility to take care of her and be worried anytime she's in trouble" I said.

"There are thousands of servants that has been killed in the past and you didn't care" Diamond said. "What's your point?" I asked. "You never cared about them but suddenly Lilith shows up you go crazy..... I'm not surprised tho, you are in love with her but you wouldn't admit it" Diamond said.

"That's where you get it wrong" I said. "Mhmm" Diamond said in disbelief. "Don't misunderstand me" I said. "You can't lie to a witch. Don't worry your secret is safe with me" Diamond said. I ran my fingers my hair.

It's normal for me to be worried about Lilith right? I mean she's part of my subject. There are no strings attached right, Diamond is just exaggerating. Well later in the evening, Malcolm informed me that there was a problem.

"What is the problem Malcolm?" I asked. "The villagers accused a witch practicing black magic" Malcolm said. Black magic? I can't pass a judgment without hearing from Diamond first. "Where are they?" I asked.

"I asked them to wait in the throne room" Malcolm said. "Very well.... Inform Diamond about the situation, ask her to meet me there. Inform Silver, Sylvester, Jason and members of the royal court" I said. "As you wish" Malcolm said.

He left, I sat down on my bed thinking about what to do. It's been a while since I had a case like this. We have a law that says anyone who practice black magic would either be hung to death or be burnt alive.

I would have hung her without hesitation but since it has something to do with magic, I suggest Diamond would have other options. I wore a more sophisticated clothes and my crown before heading to the throne room.

I met everyone there already. There's was a woman, she wore a worn out dress. They placed metal cuffs on her. The villagers greeted Silver and I, I simply nodded before sitting on my throne. My brother Silver sat on his throne beside me. "What seems to be the matter?" I asked.

"You foolish King, you pretend not to know why they're here" The old lady said. My mood instantly changed, this old woman seems to be pushing my button. "We apologize on her behalf Your Majesty" A man said. "We're here because this woman was caught performing black magic" Another man said.

"Cowards... You're just scared. I'm not scared of you Vampire King" The old woman said. A soldier slapped her so hard. The old woman laughed. "I'm not scared of death. Death is inevitable, we can't reverse death. We have lost our loved ones in the hands death..... Am I right Vampire King?" She said.

I was silent, not because I didn't know what to say but because she was right but I couldn't admit it out loud. I looked at Diamond. "What do you think should be her punishment?" I asked her through the mind link "We both know the penalty for black magic" Diamond said.

"Wait.... Isn't it too harsh for an old lady?" Sylvester asked. "It's the law" Silver joined the conversation. "Why does she want to die so badly?" Sylvester asked.

"She has lost everything. Her husband and two children..... She practiced black magic because she thought it could help her forget about it but she couldn't erase her memories" Diamond said.

"I would have to grant her, her wish" I said. I looked at Diamond, she gave me a nod of approval. "You have been found guilty. You would be hung to death" I said.

"Stupid King.... You're not doing me any favor. You think you have everything figured out but you have no idea what's coming. You would shelter your enemy, you would be blinded by lost that you would forget the true meaning of love."

"And finally, the dead shall be awoken.... A soul you never want to lose. You'd be left with one option, it's with you choose the human girl or the person you never want to lose" The old woman said.

"Take her away" Silver said.They all left with the old woman, I stood by the window. I watched as they hung the woman, it's a good thing Lilith isn't here. I left the throne room, I walked to my room. On my way to my room I walked pass Lilith, she pretended like I never existed.

I couldn't take it anymore. "Lilith, I'd like to have a word" I said. She followed me from behind. I took her to the Castle's tower. I looked through the window, I took sometime to control myself before speaking.

"I'm sure you're aware why I called you here" I said. "I'm afraid I have no clue" Lilith said. I turned around to look at Lilith but she looked away. "Are you trying to piss me off?" I asked. "No" She replied.

"Then why the hell would you leave the Castle without informing anymore? Why would you do something so stupid?" I asked. "Damien you need to control yourself" I said to myself

Lilith stayed silent. "What if you never returned? What if Ixia killed you or perhaps made you her prisoner? Do you know how worried you made everyone?" I asked. "Why do you always have to do things all by yourself? You don't have to carry the entire world on your shoulder" I said.

"So you suggest that I seat back and do nothing when an innocent child suffers for something he knows nothing about?" Lilith asked. "No I'm saying you would have told us about it. We would have come up with a solution" I said.

"Do you know how worried I was?" I asked. "I never asked you to be worried!" Lilith yelled. "Can you listen to yourself right now?" I asked. "Yes... Yes I'm aware I went by myself, yes I know it was dangerous but I don't expect you to stand here and lecture me. You are not my Father" Lilith said.

"I am Your King!" I said. "You are not my King, you maybe their King but you most certainly are not my King. You have no right to be worried about me, you have no right to care about me" Lilith said.

"You live in my Kingdom so you are my responsibility. I don't care if you acknowledge it or not" I said. "I'm not scared of you. You know what? Never interfere with matters that concerns me. You're free to think about other women but don't think about me" Lilith said.

I can't believe she would say such a thing. Is she aware that she's pissing me up? I am trying so hard to control my anger. The words the old lady said is still ringing in head and now Lilith is making me lose my mind.

Lilith left me there, I can't believe she walked out on me. I grunt in anger, I even punched the pillar with my hands which made it scattered. Why does she always do this to me?
