Chapter 121

I can't believe Lilith just walked out on me right now. I went to graveyard to clear my thoughts. "What seems to be the matter Your Majesty?" Harriet asked. " Nothing" I replied. "But you look down" She said.

"I've been busy with alot of stuff lately" I said. Harriet sat on a tombstone while I leaned against a tree. "Your Majesty I want you to be sincere" Harriet said. "About what?" I asked.

"About Nathaniel..... Does he love me?" She asked. "He probably does" I replied. "I don't think he wants to marry me..... I think he's being forced to marry me" She said. I'm really not in the mood to reply her right now, I'm still pissed about the way Lilith spoke to me.

"You love him and he loves you so there's nothing to be worried about" I said. "Sometimes I feel like running away..... I know I love him but he doesn't feel the same way for me.... How can I marry someone who doesn't love me?" Harriet asked with tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Your wedding has been arranged and there's no turning back now" I said as I left. Later in the evening I was getting ready for dinner. I went down for dinner, I met everyone present except Lilith.

Dinner was served, we were about to begin but we were interrupted by a scream. The scream broke the entire glass on the table including the windows. "What's happening?" Ella asked. "I don't know" Diamond replied.

"Where is it coming from?" Silver asked. "We need to find out" Diamond replied. "Let's go check it out" Jason said. Everyone left the dinning room. "Diamond check if Lilith is alright" I said as I left with the others.

We barged into the room. "What was the noise?" Sylvester asked. By this time everywhere was now silent. Asmodeus was standing with his son while a woman stood with her daughter.

The door flew open, Diamond and Lilith entered the room. "I'm sorry Your Majesties if my daughter woke you up for your nap" Vida said.

"Is she alright?" Ella asked. "Yes she's fine" Vida replied. "What happened?" Lilith asked. "She had a nightmare.... I'm deeply sorry.... I should have informed you earlier about it" Vida asked. "Does this happen frequently?" Diamond asked.

"Only when she has a nightmare" Vida replied. "You should have informed us about this..... Now she ruined my beauty sleep" Ivy said. "The world doesn't evolve around you Ivy" Ella said. Ivy scoffed. Diamond walked up to Taytum who sat on her bed shaking in fear.

"Would you like to talk about your nightmare? Diamond asked" The girl just shook her head. "Let's leave the child to rest" Silver said. "I would go get her a potion to help calm her down and help her sleep in the process" Diamond said to Vida.

"Thank you" Vida said. "I'd join you" Lilith said to Diamond. Diamond agreed, The lady went to calm her child. Diamond and Lilith made our way to the door. "You were in my nightmare" The little girl said. Diamond and Lilith paused.

"Me?" Diamond asked. "No.... Her" She said while pointing at me. "Me" Lilith asked while pointing at herself. "Yes" The girl said. Lilith looked at everyone in the room before going closer to the girl.

"Why was I in your dream?" Lilith asked. "I don't know..... But in the dream you looked sad and angry... It was like I could feel your pain. You hurt yourself.... You... You kept screaming and I don't know why. Then it changed... I saw a lady... A beautiful lady, she seemed close to you..."

"You both were laughing and smiling... And even holding hands... I don't know what happned next but it felt like she was taken away from you. Then I heard a woman's voice saying, I always keep my word.... An eye for an eye lilith. You better be prepared for my next move" The girl said.

Lilith looks at her mother in fear... I had a feeling that she wasn't alright.

The atmosphere became intense, It was as thou the oxygen had been drained from the room. Diamond went to Lilith. "Let's go outside" Diamond said. Lilith looked at Diamond and tears were rolling down her cheeks

"Why? What else does she want from me? Making my life miserable isn't enough for her? Why wouldn't she let me live in peace?" Lilith asked Diamond. "Lilith.... Let's go outside" Diamond said. "I.... I can't take this anymore" Lilith said as she placed her head on Diamond's shoulders.

I pulled her in for a tight hug. She buried her face on my chest, She hugged me even tighter. "Do you want to go outside?" I asked gently.

She just nodded her head. I picked up and took her outside. I decided to take her to my favorite place so she could feel better. I took her to a tree, we were on top of the tallest tree "Would you like me to put you down?" I asked. "No" She replied with her head still buried on my chest.

I remained silent, perhaps she needs the silence to help her calm down. "I... I'm sorry about what happened earlier. I shouldn't have said all those nasty things.... I... I'm sorry" She said in an innocent voice that melted my heart.

"The weather is nice.... So is the view" I said. trying to shake the thought out of my head. "Put me down" Lilith said.

I gently placed her down. She looked around her surroundings and I could tell she's scared of height. She immediately held onto me and hugged me tight.

"Don't you like the view?" I asked. "No" Lilith replied. "Good.... The same was I didn't like the way you spoke to me today" I said. "But I apologized" She said. "I know but you need to learn your lesson" I said.

"Are you going to throw me down like before?" She asked. "No, I promised myself I wouldn't do that again but I wouldn't hesitate to do it again if you disobey me" I said. "I...." She said but words couldn't come to her mouth perhaps she's scared.

"You need to understand Lilith that you are important to me and I wouldn't was to see you get hurt..... Look at me" I said. She looks me in the eyes. "Like it or not, I would always protect you..... I wouldn't let you get hurt. You mean so much more to me than you can possibly imagine" I said.

"Why? Why do you care so much about me?" Lilith asked. "I can't explain but one things certain and it's that I don't want to see you get hurt" I said. I caressed her cheeks and I gently kissed here on the lips. "Would you like to return to the Castle?" I asked.

"Yes" She replied. I took her back to the Castle, the moment we reached the Castle I took her to the dinning room for food since we were interrupted earlier. Everyone was in the room waiting for us. I gently placed Lilith on a chair.

"Lilith how're you feeling?" Silver asked. "Good" Lilith replied. I went to seat on my chair. "I... I want to start by apologizing to everyone, especially you Damien. I know I messed up, I know I was suppose to tell you before leaving but I was scared cause I didn't want anyone to suffer because of me" Lilith said.

"Are you going to tell us what really happened?" Diamond asked. She took a deep breath. "I just messed up... I met a lady called Haniel" Lilith said. "Haniel?" I asked. "Do you know her?" Diamond asked me. "Yeah, I've come across that name before" I replied.

"She works for Ixia... I was so dumb to have believed her. She tried to kill me because of you" She said while pointing me. "What has Damien got to do with this?" Silver asked. "She's in love with him and she thinks that I'm standing in her way" Lilith said.

"It's true though" Ivy said. I'm the reason why she suffered? I can't believe I'm the reason for her pain. "The good thing is that you're safe" Ella said. "Is that all that happened? I mean nothing else happened except that?" Diamond asked.

"What were you expecting to happen?" Sylvester asked. "I just asked a question" Diamond said. The room was silent for awhile. "I'm aware that Harriet's wedding was canceled because of me" Lilith said. "Yes" Diamond replied.

"Why don't we have the wedding here on Saturday" Lilith said. "What? Are you sure? I mean you haven't recovered yet" Diamond said. "I know but Harriet deserves to be happy so we should support her" Lilith said.

"Bro what do you think?" Silver asked through the mind link. "Are you sure that you're ready for the consequences?" Diamond asked me. "I think we should go ahead with the preparations" I said.

"Saturday is just three days from now" Diamond said. I looked at Lilith. "Are you sure that's what you want?" I asked Lilith. "Yes" She replied. "Very well we shall make the necessary preparations" I said.
