CHAPTER 3

The day is coming to an end but Sofia still can't figure out how and where she will get a large amount of money.

Just yesterday she visited her mom in the hospital again where her mom is confined. Her mom's doctor reminded her again about the previous week it mentioned to her.

She even promised and resigned word that she would make way as soon as possible. But she does not keep her promise that until now she still didn't get a job that would earn her a lot of money.

I think, there is no job like that where I can earn a lot of money except for a job that I don't want to get into and gamble myself just to make money, to sell my dignity? No, I can't do it even though I am down on myself because of what is my problem. I'll never accept it.

"Maybe there is? I'm just not lucky for the work I'm searching for." Sofia asked herself as her eyes looked into the distance.

She is at the top of the building. At the top where she often goes whenever she wants to breathe from her lot of trouble. From the top of the building, the entire campus of their school can be seen. From their office management building, her eye can almost reach the various buildings, such as the engineering building, computer science building, Teacher's building, and several other buildings of some courses available at their school.

She likes to stand on the edge of the top of the building. From where she was standing, she would look down at her chin without even feeling any shock or fear, fear that maybe she might fall.

Every time her friend saw her, Trina shouted after she saw Sofia peeking at the bottom of the building.

It's too high if she falls to the bottom. She may not be able to survive if she falls. Her bones would certainly be broken in case she fell on her chin.

Each building in the school also has several floors. But climbing to the top of the building is her favorite thing to do and climb.

Trina always tells her not to climb to the top of the building. But Sofia is stubborn. She still does it all the time especially when so much is messing with her brain.

She wanted to breathe, so all she had to do was run upstairs, up to the top of the building to breathe, sometimes even here she was screaming.

She screams about her problems, everything that weighs on her chest she will scream and release on the top of their office management building.

She also feels better every time she does that. "As I told myself, you're here again. You are stubborn. You see that it is very dangerous here. But you're always here, and climbing even though you know you could be injured when you fall from here down there to..." Trina interrupted. She couldn't continue to say anything because his face frowned in fear of seeing Sofia still sitting on the side of the porch where, if she wasn't careful in sitting, she might fall to the bottom.

"Sofia, please stand. Later on, you will accidentally fall there. Do you want to add yourself to your problem with your mother? That's not a solution to jump there to solve your money problem." Said Trina, forcing Sofia to stand up as she sat down.

"It won't help even if you drop yourself from here to the bottom of this building. You may die, maybe you die first before your mother. Instead, you study and plan where you will get the money you need. You don't need to go here, Sofia." Trina's statement of fear for her friend.

"Who told you that I plan to jump here?" Seriously, Sofia also smiled as she answered Trina's many blabbering.

Trina is her best friend. Trina was one of Sofia's friends at their school. It was kind to her and often worrying.

Sofia smiled, she stood up after she sat on the concrete floor where she was sitting. "You're weird," she accused Trina, she walked and approached Trina with a deep sigh.

"Stupid, who wouldn't worry to see you there and almost drop yourself from here to the bottom of this building?"

"Why would I fall?" She grinned at her friend. "I'm not crazy yet and I am not so stupid to think of committing suicide and jumping there," Sofia replied. "I haven't finished my problem with my mom yet. Will I end my life immediately? Gosh, what are you thinking Trina? I'm not crazy yet, okay."

"How do I know, ouch, stop pulling my hair! Don't ruin my hair." Trina sighed, at the same time as she moaned when she was hurt when Sofia pulled her long hair a little. It was already fixed in the salon yesterday and her friend Sofia wanted to destroy it.

"Why are you here?" Sofia asked as she let go of her friend's hair. He shouldered Trina as Sofia raised an arm over Trina's shoulder. "We'll have a class later, won't we?"

"Later, but the question is why are you here again?" Trina asked. "I would have invited you to eat. So I looked for you in almost every corner below. I did not mistake you're here and I wasn't wrong to come here and check if you are here."

"You know I have a problem." Sofia sighed deeply. "Until now the problem with my mom is still not over. I need to get a job, where I can earn a lot of money. But, I'm unlucky. I can't get a job that earns me a lot except..."

"True," Trina said when she cut Sofia off while she spoke. "No job that quickly pays a lot. Except ..." he turned to her. Look at Sofia's face. "There is only one solution to your problem. But, I don't want to push you especially since I know you can't enter yourself into the job I have. You know, because of my job. I can earn a lot, I am enduring because I want to support my siblings, and my family in the province and at the same time do so in my daily life and my studies. "Trina replied, out of breath.

Sofia thought. Is this the time for her to just eat her pride for the sake of her Mother?

Should she lower her pride so that her long-standing problem can have a solution?

Is this the time to try to get into Trina's job? Even though it was hard and painful for her to lower herself especially since she had never done it in her whole life.

Will she accept the job at the club? If Trina earns a lot of money from her many customers at the club.

Sofia sighed as she pondered Trina's offer. She lifted her face and met Trina's eyes. She took a deep breath, bit her lower lip, and continued to think deeply.

"Okay, all right, Trina. I'll try." She replied bravely to Trina. Her friend didn't smile, Trina knew and felt that it was hard for Sofia to decide to go to a nightclub to work just to earn the money that Sofia needs for her sick mother.

"Are you sure?" Trina asked unconvinced. She was also worried for Sofia that this might not be the way to earn big money for her friend Sofia. That's why she doesn't want to force Sofia into her job even though she knows she makes a lot of money selling herself and entertaining her many customers at the club.

Sofia is very sure of her decision. She had already decided that she would eat her pride and do the job she knew she could afford to earn enough money for her mother's operation.

She nodded to Trina. They talked about where they met tonight, and Trina would take her to the nightclub to introduce her to her boss. Sofia nodded and just agreed with what her friend said.

Instead of doing evil and stealing. She just prefers to work at the club than with all the bad things that enter her brain.
