Peterson knew his new maid was coming. So he immediately thought of something good to do.
Before he fell asleep. He told his maid not to turn on his light in the morning. He also told his maid not to pull the curtain on his window so that no light could enter his room.
He also ordered Miss Thelma last night before she went to bed.
Before Miss Thelma goes to sleep, she goes to Peterson's room to greet Peterson and tell Peterson that she will go to sleep to rest.
Before Miss Thelma left the room of Peterson.
Peterson told Miss Thelma not to order the maid to open the switch of his lights or even the curtain on the window in his room in the morning.
Miss Thelma no longer asked after Peterson said he wanted to sleep long to rest and he wanted to wake up and get up from lying down at noon.
After Miss Thelma left his room. Peterson did not fall asleep immediately.
Peterson stayed up all night and was not visited by his drowsiness at the thought of how could be subdued and get rid of his new maid.
During the whole night, Peterson thought about what he could do to his maid.
He stops thinking. Because he knew the sun was already shining. He just feels even if his eyes can't see.
Not a single one entered his mind even though he had been thinking all night.
Peterson thought quickly. He knew at any moment his maid would come.
He dug into the small table on the side of his bed and he touched bottled water.
He immediately opened the bottled water and then threw the water on the floor. He wanted this to be a warning to his new maid.
Also for his greeting on his maid's first day working at his house.
While lying down Peterson felt the loud fall of his new maid on the floor and even its faint cry.
Peterson wanted to let out a loud laugh in his mouth, which he tried to suppress.
Peterson covered his mouth with his hand so that a loud laugh would not come out of his mouth.
When Peterson felt his maid walking and groping on the wall to find the switch of his light in the room. Peterson quickly arranged to lie down so that his maid would think he was asleep.
Peterson heard the sound of his light switch in the bedroom after his maid opened the light. As he closed his eyes, his feelings also wandered.
Peterson watches while not opening his eyes. He also heard the hugs of his maid as she walked inside his bedroom.
Perhaps the way his maid walked was not towards his bed. Peterson thought.
A moment later he heard the parting of his curtain. His maid probably opened his window.
Peterson knew that was what his maid had done to his room.
Peterson couldn't even see the light coming from outside his room. He was sad while he lay on his bed.
"Sir Peterson, I know you are awake. Get up and the sun is shining high." Said his maid in a loud voice with annoyance.
"Miss Thelma told me that she was done cooking food for breakfast and I will bring your food. So get up from your bed when I come back. You just have to eat." His maid had no respect for the way she spoke with him.
"You have no respect, I am the boss here. If you talk to me. Give me some respect while you speak." Peterson was forced to get up from the bed. He was angry and irritated to hear the way his maid spoke.
"Is that what your parents taught you and how they raised you?" Peterson asked.
"No, I only spoke like this to people who have no respect for others and no respect for me," Sofia replied. She had a bad gaze on her boss.
Even Sofia is disgusted with her boss's arrogant behavior.
"Why are you still answering me that way? And, are you accusing me? I don't respect anyone?" Peterson growled.
"No respect? Who among us today is disrespectful after you answer me like that? "Peterson raised one hand while pointing a finger at his maid. But Sofia was surprised. It wasn't pointing at her.
"You... crazy!" Peterson shouted.
Sofia frowned at what she noticed in Dave's friend.
The arm that Peterson raised while pointing his finger was not pointing at her. In the other direction, it was pointing. So Sofia was really surprised while staring at Dave's friend.
"Why don't you speak up?" Peterson asked in angry language.
Sofia wanted to ask. She wondered if Dave's friend was blind. After she notices that it seems to see nothing.
"Are you blind?" Sofia asked bravely.
Sofia noticed the seeming change in Dave's friend's appearance. "What are you talking about?" Peterson asked his maid nervously.
Peterson is restless.
Peterson immediately thought carefully. So that his maid would not know of his loss of sight.
"Don't lie anymore," Sofia replied. She walked closer to Peterson. She tried to lift one palm and put it in Peterson's eyes.
Sure she is, it doesn't even see anything. But why? in Sofia's mind, she asked.
What happened to Dave's friend? she asked again as she made sure Peterson didn't see anything.
Sofia lowered her hand. She stood straight across from Peterson. Her eyebrows met staring at Peterson.
"Do all your maids know you don't see anything?" Sofia asked. She lowered her voice and asked softly.
Sofia could see the nervousness on Peterson's face, afraid that she wouldn't understand why that's what she sees the times she looks it in the face.
"They don't know, do they?" She asked Peterson again. "How about Dave?" she asked seriously. "Does he know?" Sofia was also nervous. She knew she was not in the place to ask. But she was very curious as to the reason why Peterson lost his sight or the reason why he was confined to his room.
Sofia also thinks the maids at Peterson's house also do not know about his situation. Maybe it's a big secret and it's trying to hide his blindness from everyone.
"What happened to you, why did you go blind?" Sofia asked curiously.
Sofia was just standing in front of Peterson. She wonders with the amount of money Peterson has, why did he choose to lock himself in a room rather than seek medical treatment?
Peterson does not answer. So, Sofia thought of asking Dave later. "Okay, if you don't want to answer, it's okay." Said Sofia. "I'll go to the kitchen first. I'll just get your breakfast. Don't worry I guess no one in the house knows that you have lost your sight." She said again. "Don't worry either I won't tell anyone here in your house who will ask what I noticed about you. Or, even what you did to me today. I won't say. All that happened can't get out of your room." Said Sofia.
Sofia just found herself that instead of being angry with Dave's friend, she felt sorry for Peterson especially when she noticed that he was slightly hiding the tears in his eyes.
Peterson tilted slightly. He could not understand how he felt now except for Dave, and for Miss Thelma who was the first to notice and discover all those with him in the house. Miss Thelma is the only one who knows about his loss of eyesight. Now someone else noticed and so easily discovered the secret he had been hiding for quite some time.
Sofia left the room when she didn't even hear Peterson speak. Sofia just let it go, he seems to think Peterson is going hard through a lot. So as Dave and Miss Thelma instructed. She now understands, now she realized what it means to Dave and Miss Thelma from their reminders saying that she needs to be patient with Peterson.
