Beginner Pill Crafter
After the guild meeting had concluded Zoom went over to the west gate where a crowd of players were gathered.
Player made stalls were abundant while they yelled out the items they were selling.
"Selling one hundred RedVine Herbs for ten UC each!"
"Selling fifty-eight PurpleVine Herbs for nine UC each!"
"Selling two hundred Yellow Vine Herbs for ten UC each!"
['UC' is an abbreviations made by the players that meant 'Universal Coins']
Items, cores and herbs were everywhere while herbs were the most abundant of them all.
Zoom approached one of the many stalls where players sold herbs, the smell of herbs was strong and it permeated the area.
The first store he approached was selling red, blue, yellow and purple vine herbs for nine UC each.
"Will you give me a discount if I buy it all?" Zoom asked, in exchange for buying it all asking for a discount was not uncommon.
"Of course, why do you even need these many herbs?... Are you from the Skylark guild? Or maybe the Earth Monarchs?" The vendor said, currently only guilds with enough funding would be able to buy these many herbs at once or maybe a tycoon.
"Neither, let's make this quick shall we?" Hearing this the vendor immediately traded the herbs to Zoom, eighty two red, ninety three blue, one hundred eight yellow and eighty five purple vine herbs for 3000 UC, at first it was 3240 but the vendor decided to sell it for only 3000 UC.
Zoom went on to buy a total of one thousand of each of the four basic herbs which costed him only 35,000 UC.
He send a message to Zek and asked him whether he could go over to the pharmacy to concoct pills in exchange Zoom offered to give Zek a portion of the pills he would concoct in which Zek easily agreed.
After arriving through the back door he arrived at the back where Zek usually concocts his own pills.
"Do you also want to become a pill crafter? I have to say it's a good profession, money won't be a problem and you can somewhat live much more luxurious than the average person." Zek said.
Being a pill crafter was a good profession, the money you would make a month was a lot better than an average person's salary.
"I'm just crafting Pills as a side hustle, I mainly am a fighter." Zoom said, and after a bit of chatter Zoom went to one of the furnaces to concoct some pills.
Before Zoom had started the process he went over to his status screen and went to the crafting section of the screen.
Displayed within the screen was the ways on becoming crafters.
At the beginning a player would start off below the beginner level which was the minimum threshold to be considered a actual crafter.
To level up to beginner level one would need to accumulate crafting points of the said profession whether it be potion crafter, pill crafter or any other crafting profession.
From the lowest level to beginner level one needed 100 crafting points, to obtain crafting points you needed to craft items that linked to the profession.
Just like crafting tier 1 pills could give you 1 crafting points while a tier 2 pill would give you 3 crafting points and tier 3 could give you 10 crafting points.
Once you reach beginner level the chance of you successfully crafting the item would increase.
Just like when a new crafter would concoct a tier 1 pill there would be a 10% chance of success while a beginner level crafter would have a 50% chance.
There were also other ways to improve the chance of success such as unique furnaces, magical fruits and potions and much more.
For now Zoom had a 30% chance to successfully concoct a tier 1 pill, 10% since he is at the lowest level.
But that 10% chance can lower depending on whether you properly crafted the pill or not,
you need go have focus and accuracy when concocting the pills while the other 20% came from the furnace itself.
Being able to use this furnace was a huge advantage for Zoom against other guilds, it was a miracle he had met Zek early on.
"Alright I only need to concoct seventy more pills to become a beginner, time to grind."
Without any more delays Zoom started to concoct pills.
Out of the five tier 1 recipes he knew to concoct, he chose a tier 1 healing pill, you needed 4 RedVine Herbs and 4 YellowVine Herbs, if he had bought each herb for 9 UC that would be a total of 72 UC while each tier 1 healing pill sold upwards of 400 UC to 500 UC almost 8 times the initial 72 UC spent.
Zoom one by one placed the ingredients inside the furnace and using the things he had learned before he was able to concoct 1 tier 1 low quality healing pill.
Seeing the newly concocted pill in his hands he was ecstatic and stored his new pill before once again crafting another.
Sometimes he would fail in crafting a few pills but it didn't matter since he could still make a profit.

Pill after pill was crafted, one out of three tries was a success, and after thirty minutes of crafting, Zoom finally finished his 70th pill turning him into a beginner level pill crafter.
He went over to the status screen and saw that the progress bar of the new pill crafter learning tree was full and the button below it said that you can now upgrade to beginner level and after clicking a notification could be heard.

His chance of success when crafting tier 1 pills has grown from 30% to 70% which was huge meaning 7 in 10 tries a pill would be crafted and their was the chance of crafting an extra pill being the same 10% chance with the chance of crafting an extra 2 pills still being the same 1%.
