CHAPTER 5: NEW JOB AS A PAPARRAZI

CHAPTER 5: NEW JOB AS A SECRET PAPARAZZI

Aside from freedom, Fidel looked like the ever-serious boss, he did give his maids guaranteed medical insurance. To him, life was precious no matter who it was. Anyone under him received the same care. Their salary was enough to give them the luxury they wanted and sure enough, if you would ask for a maid or a guard at the Silver Castle to quit and employ them as secretary, they would refuse because their salary was just outstanding. Who didn't want to work at a place where luxury and leisure was guaranteed?

So, today, when Lian send away the guards, they drove straight to the Great Nolan's company and reported the matter. Fidel sends a signal to have Bella go to the hotel. Why Bella? Because, when Lian arrived at the castle, she first got close to Bella. As if that wasn't all, Bella was her best woman. When Eva left, he saw the sadness in Lian, but not before Bella entered. So he knew, only Bella was her best friend aside from Eva.

"Bella!" two voices called at once the moment the elevator opened.

"God! You're here!" Lian was surprised as she went over to her.

"Madam are you ok?" Bella asked worried as she circled her.

"Am ok... Why do you ask? Are you ok?"  Lian looked out at the cars waiting outside.

"Yeah... I was worried about you. Boss send me over to look for you." She said.

"God... You're beautiful Bella." Eva smiled before looking at the girl aside. They both looked away.

"Girls... Resume your posts." Lian said softly before gently pulling Bella aside. They both sat on the nearby bench as Eva left to run her errand. Bella looked at her madam.

"Boss? What did he say?"

"The guards didn't come back. I guess they drove back to the company. Shortly afterwards, there was a signal send by Adam who is his right-hand man. He did say I had to come to you. I was worried something bad happened to you. Good heavens you're ok." Bella sighed. She was cute Lian laughed.

"I guess your boss just wanted to scare the hell put of you." Lian replied lightly before waking up.

"Well," Bella also stood up. "When do you two think will travel to the Great Nolan empire?"

"That?" Lian looked back at Bella. "Nothing is serious between us for the time being. Besides, your boss can get another charming lady he'll take to the empire. Not me." She finished and started walking out. Bella followed quickly.

"Hey... I didn't mean anything bad. I just don't think there would be a lady who would shake our boss' heart. How many ladies are after him?" Bella walked besides Lian, her heels touching the floor softly. "I've never seen boss this caring and this enduring. For once you awakened his soft part. You should be happy."

"I should be, but am not." Lian stopped. "Nothing is more good than having the freedom to choose what you want. I couldn't have chosen him if I have the chance to." Lian said but stopped when they heard footsteps behind them. Mrs Oliver Stone cane walking faster.

"Lian... I just remembered I saw a wedding ring on your finger. You never told me you were married?" Mrs Oliver Stone said. Lian looked at Bella, then at Mrs Oliver.

"Am not."

...

GREAT NOLAN COMPANY

Fidel was busy as he always was with his eyes locked on the files. His elegant fingers caressed the mouse slowly as he conducted his work. His black hair was well combed forward with few strands hanging on his face. His distant black eyes had a hind of light, at least a light that only Adam could see. His boss was always this busy with no care in the world. But the appearance of Lian changed everything.

"Boss, you shocked me during your wedding." Adam said. Fidel was ever serious, but at least his guards forced a joke his way when he least expect it. They never stopped talking to him, and this included making jokes even when they knew their boss won't laugh.

Fidel looked up at Adam who stood alert at the door. Adam could feel the black distant eyes travelling down his body. This wasn't the first time he did that, so it was just a matter of a few minutes of tension and he was in for it since he had spent good hours of the day there and was getting bored. Fidel snorted lightly before looking back at the computer screen.

"I didn't know you were that romantic." Adam added.

Fidel's finger froze on the keyboard. He didn't look up, but his face turned soft and Adam smiled inwardly.

"At least I heard something I've never heard before. I mean, I could have fainted. Where did my ever-serious boss get those lines from? Ooh God! Jesus wasn't the last who did miracles right?"

Fidel listened without looking up. How he got to say those words, only God knows. "Get me any soft drink." Fidel said.

"Mmh... You are shocked by what you did right?" Adam said before disappearing.

Fidel stood up and paced the room slowly. Adam had spoke the truth after all. He shocked everyone. He kept wondering how far he'll go with Lian and what other out of his behaviour things he would do for her. It was already driving him crazy. He was still thinking when a notification on his phone beeped. He went to take a look. Lian had updated a new photo online. He zoomed in the photo and couldn't stop admiring her. She was a goddess with a waterfall of shining black hair, slender well-curved legs and a small pretty face.

He was still staring at the photo when the door opened and Adam walked in. He looked at his boss before placing the drink on the table. He saw the picture his boss was looking at and sighed.

"I can take more secret photos of her if you don't mind. I guess you'll love that." Adam said.

Fidel looked at him for a while before nodding.

"Nice idea."

"Then... I'll need a camera with a high megapixel so I can zoom even from distance." Adam said.

"Ok..."

Money wasn't a problem right? The camera arrived few minutes after making the order and Adam was ready to start his work as a paparazzi.
