CHAPTER 9:
She plucked grass and wanted to put in in her mouth when a hand reached out and pulled it away.
"It's not healthy." He said seriously. Lian wanted to give a negative response, but she didn't. Instead, she smiled.
"You know, sometimes I wish I wasn't born but sometimes I appreciate everything. My biggest desire now is to meet my mom and ask her why she left me at the hands of irresponsible people." Lian said. "I always lived to appreciate everything also, not until I realised my whole life was hell. Maybe am still a nobody even after I find my mom, but at least I will be back into her arms again, feel her warmth and motherly love."
Fidel didn't know what to say. He didn't know whether to comfort her or promise her he would help her find her mom. For the first time she talked to him about her life, and her desires and it really touched deep down his heart.
"Umm..." not knowing what to say, Fidel raised himself on one side, leaned on one hand and have his face over hers. She didn't resist, maybe because she didn't see it coming. His pink lips met hers and her whole body tensed. She didn't react negatively, which was a welcome message to Fidel. His tongue explored her mouth. Her hands now slowly caressed his back.
As if nature felt the love between them, a slight wind blew. The flowers seemed to appreciate them by blossoming even more. The wind blew the green leaves in the air, and a few coloured petals flew above them before falling. Her eyes were closed so she didn't really see this seen. In her world, she was melting away. Her legs raised a little and brushed on his waist. Fidel couldn't help it, because apart from his whole body warming up, his little brother was raging. He would have wanted everything here and now because even nature seemed to cheer them up, but he could push her too much when she wasn't ready. He also understood the fact that he had to build his trust in her.
When they broke away, she was breathing hard for the few minutes she forgot to breathe.
"This show is too much." Her mind was in turmoil.
The cameraman tucked his camera back and ran down the stairs.
Kate coughed out blood.
Katherine didn't know how to react.
Lian looked away embarrassed and shy at the same time. Fidel held his biggest smile and a flash of satisfaction in his distant black eyes and his hands ran between his thighs to calm his little brother down.
"Nothing...I mean, we didn't do anything did we?" Lian, trying to hide her embarrassment said.
"Yeah... Nothing happened." Understanding her, Fidel answered. He didn't know how he pissed her off because the next moment little fists started landing on his chest. He didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He reached out and held her hands gently, and again catching her unaware, kissed the back of her hand.
"You're such a pervert..." she complained while pulling her hands back. Adam, who was just at the second floor sighed again. Boss, is that you?
"My son doesn't really care that am here, he's making love in front of my eyes. The highest order of disrespect." Katherine complained.
Late helped her off the balcony. She wasn't old and didn't really need any help, but being the "future" daughter-in-law if nature allows, she had to outdo Lian. Of course, Lian wasn't doing anything to make anyone cheer her up as their daughter-in-law. She was in her own world and Fidel was working hard to squeeze himself into it.
"Can I get you something to drink?" Kate suggested as she walked to the fridge.
"Yeah sure." Katherine responded.
Just close to the fridge, she brushed shoulders with Bella who whispered in her ears "remember what boss said? He should not find you anywhere close to the kitchen."
Kate froze at first. She couldn't forget it. But Fidel's mother was here and had a soft heart towards her.
"So... What if he asked me not to go to the kitchen?" Kate faked emotions and said. Of course Katherine heard and was shocked.
"Did he say that to you? A good wife takes time and personally prepares something for her husband." Katherine said.
"But she isn't my wife, is she?" Fidel walked in hands intertwined with Lian's.
"You lost your manner because of a lady who embarrassed you... You haven't even greeted your own mother yet!" Katherine said in disdain as she started at Lian.
Lian had no care in the world at this time. So that look didn't bother.
"I love to be embarrassed. You are so busy with pampering another lady, how would you know what I like? How is dad? Hope your flight was comfortable."
A guard who was standing at the staircase forgot his duty, missed a step and fell down the stairs.
Kate, who was carrying a glass of drink from the fridge missed a step and it fell.
Katherine choked on her own saliva and Adam almost dropped the camera. Boss, do you also do comedy?
He really wanted to laugh.
"Excuse me!" Lian said before starting to walk upstairs. Katherine snorted. Lian didn't know who her mother was, her biological mother. So she wasn't into impressing another person's mother. To her, Katherine can do what she likes. If Loan herself doesn't decide to move out, she was sure Fidel can't send her away so no one had the power of asking her out of the castle.
Fidel didn't seem to care much about his mother. So he sat down luxuriously on the couch with his feet dangling as he looked at Kate in disdain.
That's when his hands ran in his pocket and felt the pictures Adam had stuffed in his pocket when they brushed past each other.
At the same time, Lian opened a card on the desk of the study room
"Invitation? To where?" she pulled out the cards from the parcel.
