CHAPTER 10: DIE FOR HER

CHAPTER 10:

So, after all the embarrassment and shock Kate felt that evening, she lay on the couch breathing heavily. Katherine didn't say a word. After all his own son was looking like someone who is bewitched.

Evening.

Fidel had nationality in two countries. Here in K nation, he was just an outstanding tycoon, a first-class rich guy and a great CEO. In the great Nolan empire, he was the prince.

But he never bragged nor acted like his level. He was only ever serious with no public desires.

He wouldn't have accepted to go, but seeing his mother's signature, he accepted to go.

"Am already leaving." After putting on her earnings and heels, Lian called to Fidel who was still in the bathroom. He came out wrapped in a towel.

"Why don't we go together?" he asked.

"I don't want to drag you along with me." She said and walked out. Fidel cursed silently. She simply didn't want anyone to know they were together. Damn it.

Kate and Katherine left together earlier. Lian left alone in just one car with no guards. She didn't want anyone coming with her.

Fidel hurried after Lian left. He walked out of the dressing room in a tuxedo suit. Adam opened the door for him. Soon, a convoy of cars left for the Elites hotel.

This was a hotel which hosted great people.

Lian parked her car and walked to the door. The receptionist blocked her way.

"Can I see your invitation?" he asked rudely because looking at her, she wasn't dressed in any expensive clothes. Though she was beautiful, she didn't smell money.

Lian took out the invitation which was sent to Fidel Nolan. The receptionist seeing this, he frowned.

"What game do you think you are playing?" he asked as he pushed her away. Lian was annoyed, but tried thinking. Could it be that Katherine arranged this so she could let Fidel and Kate together? Or, was it all Kate's plan? I must get in.

"He isn't coming so I had to represent him." She said.

"Who are you to represent him? Me. Fidel would have sent a notification himself. Stop fooling yourself." The receptionist frowned even more.

"You're not afraid of demanding a message from a great CEO?" she asked.

"Guards, take her away!" the receptionist gave the order. The guards surrounded her, holding her hands clumsily. She snorted.

But before they could pull her away, the Nolan cars entered the compound.

"Hold her there, Mr. Fidel must know someone is using his family name." The receptionist gave Lian an ugly smile.

They didn't let her go, they held onto her and waited as Fidel walked towards them. He looked surprised as he looked at Lian held by guards, then angry, then mad, then his face changed completely which startled the receptionist.

"Sir... She was using you as a tramp card to get in." Wanting to make an impression to the big man, the receptionist reported.

Adam came over and pushed the guards away. Liam cleaned herself before walking to Fidel's side. The receptionist's face suddenly darkened.

"Call your boss for me." Fidel gave the order. The receptionist who was by then having a dry throat wanted to rush away. "You, stay."

One guard ran upstairs and moments later, the manager, Dallas came downstairs. Seeing Fidel, he smiled sheepishly.

"Sir... We're privileged to have you here..."

"Cut the crap" Fidel snorted. "Someone harassed my wife."

"Wife? Sir?" Dallas was caught in between shock. Fidel had a wife? He hadn't heard about that. Now, someone harassed Fidel's wife? He was trembling from inside. "I'll deal with them. Just point them out."

There was no need to, because the receptionist was now seeing with his teeth not eyes. He was shocked to the nerves. Some lady was now costing him his life. Lian gave him a calm look.

Before he could utter a word, a heavy slap landed on his face. A tooth fell out and his cheek turned red. This was the work of his hands, yeah, his boss' hand. Mr Dallas had given him a resounding slap and he could feel his whole brain resetting.

"How could you be so careless?" he snorted.

"I didn't know boss." He said with a red face.

"What's the rule here? Everyone deserves his or her respect regardless of status. And... You just harassed my wife. Am not done with this yet." Fidel snorted and the manager.

"Sir..." the manager wasn't carrying a good face because this wasn't a small matter. Another slap landed on the receptionist's face. He had personally never seen his boss angry and afraid at the same time.

"You're costing me my life!" Mr Dallas didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Because the moment Fidel walked into the hotel, news reached his ears, automatically, the tycoon would buy this hotel. He angrily pounced on the already red-faced receptionist and tried to strangle him.

"Sir... You can be charged for murder fi you let your anger drive you this much." The hotel guard said.

Dallas was caught in between tears and laughter. Just one day and he was losing everything even though Fidel was paging a high amount for the hotel. But it was still among the best few hotels in the country. Dallas looked at Adam, who stood by with the papers. Just few moments back, the hotel belonged to him, but now, it was to be owned by someone else. Who was the someone? Lian Jones,  but the legal documents read Lian F. Nolan.
