"Guards... Take her away from here. From my presence!" Fidel gave the order. But the guards told him they were under the queen's order. Fidel snorted loudly.
"So the food can't even settle peacefully in my stomach!" Fidel kicked away the plate and it landed on Kate's lap. She would have snorted but not now.
"You know, the way you guys are treating me here right now, except the same when you visit my castle. None of my guards or maids will attend to you." Fidel talked straight to the camera. Katherine who knew there was no way Fidel was going back to K nation snorted lightly. "I'll not love you even if it means staying here for the rest of my life. You're just a desperate idiot!" Fidel couldn't take it and walked to the bathroom where he spend the rest of his sick day immersed in the bathtub. This started worrying the king.
...
Great Nolan Company.
Lian sat silently on the desk as she usually did. Notifications beeped but she had no time for that. But when they persisted, she got annoyed and had to look. Six emails from senior Jones.
"After that long?" Lian snorted as she opened one after the other. Senior Jones was asking for a chance to talk to her. She replied with a yes, to cone the following day.
Another email was from Anes who searched for the company's email in the advert places.
"Be careful, dad is planning something against you."
Lian posed and was lost in thoughts. Bit again, she wrote a message to her father and said.
"I will come over and personally meet you at home. After all I grew up there." Then, he resumed her work.
That evening, Eva came over. The guards already knew her so she was allowed easy entry. They sat together in the living room with Lian telling her she feels something is wrong. She told her many things, including her feeling towards Fidel.
"You know Eva, I didn't take it to heart. But that day, he did embrace the death meant for me and took it in with a smile. He's strong, and I could see his love. I cried, I've never been that emotional for long in my life. So, I decided to do something for him so that even if he comes back, he'll meet my soft end too. I was never and would never be a liability to anyone, so am taking up the responsibility from him. After that, maybe we can talk of everything when he's back. But what is he doesn't? My mom left and never came back for me." Lian said sadly.
"Of course, he will come back for you. Taking what was meant for you shows how much trust he has in you, and how much he wants to go with you... Even if it means he will take his last breath in your arms." Eva comforted her. Lian smiled sadly.
"After everything, I feel like am just his misfortune. We're not even a month old in this marriage. We have never even has sex. But he has already gone to hell for me." Lian said. Then we haven't had sex caught Eva unprepared and she swallowed hard.
"Hey, you're so sweet to be negative you know. All is well. Everything has a reason why it's happening. Don't give up this early." Eva said.
So, Eva realised that Lina finally found her strength. And the person was Fidel. She now realised that the only person who could give her friend the hope she needed in life was Fidel. Saying out loud may be a problem but emotions talk it out all.
...
Morning.
After dropping Eva off to work, the convoy of cars drove to the Jones compound. Senior Jones didn't know she would come with guards. And who said Adam would stand and wait from outside? This was the boss' wife, and if anything happens to her, God, the whole K nation would come down. So when Senior Jones asked him to give them space, he looked at Lian then replied.
"Sorry sir, I can't leave her side."
"Just say it. Is it that confidential? Please be quick dad, I have to report to work before am late." Lian said politely.
"Lian, am sorry for neglecting you as my daughter, but this time again, I come to you as a humble father. I know you own a hotel now. Please, I need money right now. If you don't have it, why don't you consider selling the hotel then?" senior Jones spoke humbled.
"Seriously? You got enough balls dad." Lian laughed. "As you said I should consider, I'll see about that. Can I talk to Anes now?"
Senior Jones heart melted. How easy? Anes walked over and she pulled him away.
"Why are you on my side now? Aren't you supposed to be celebrating now that my life is getting more messy daily?" she asked looking right in his eyes.
"Am not celebrating of course. Am still human and I still remember the sacrifices you made to a family that never valued you. In this life, you deserve the best Lian." Anes said.
She didn't know whether to believe him or not. So, she simply shrug, thanked him and drove to the company.
Same time, Fidel had just realised his father gave the order he can't leave the country. So, he send a message to Adam through a new email and also send a message to the company email in case he reached at any of them first. In his email, he didn't promise anything to anyone.
Lian was the first to open the email and after reading the one line, tears formed in her ears. Adam opened his email and saw the message.
"I can't get to the country any day soon."
When he looked in, Lian was already crying. Not knowing how to comfort her, he just stood there lost and confused.
The next thing was a notification on Facebook which was more of an advert. Lian had advertised the hotel asking anyone who could buy it.
Senior Jones heart leapt in joy when he saw the post. He thought, well, the deal is done.
Dallas doubted it at first but yeah, the advert was there. She was actually asking anyone who could buy the Elite Hotel.
