CHAPTER 16: THE BUYER PROTECTED THE SELLER

CHAPTER 16:

After a long day, Lian was to rest, then get to see the buyer of the hotel the next morning. Since she knew Fidel wasn't coming back, she would as well risk it and go to Sky Wing to find the lady Mrs Oliver Stone claimed looked at her. Well, she wasn't sure if they were related. To be sincere, she was only testing the waters. Maybe her mother was here in K nation. Who knew? She never heard rumours of anyone who looked close to her here, but she was ready to try it in Sky Wing.

The night seemed long as she went through the photos taken of her an d Fidel together. All this while, she had tried to avoid Eva because she didn't want anyone to interfere with her plans.  Even though Eva had tried to get in touch with her several time after she saw the advert, Lian dismissed her with less information. She knew probably by tomorrow, she would be here looking for her. So she had to quicken her plans before Eva can come. It would be fine if they didn't meet for the time being. Lian was tried of getting emotional every now and then.

Morning...

Someone else was preparing to appear at Elite hotel. That person was Senior Jones. Dallas had told her he suspects Lian would be there with guards. So they can ambush her and just get the money. If she resists, one bullet is enough to silence her since she won't be having any reinforcement.

Senior Jones was an easy person to convince. So, he accepted. At the saw time, Anes was finding a way to get Lian out of it. So he gave her a call because the last time she left her new number with her.

"You can't go there Lian!" Anes said once the call connected.

"Listen to me Anes, I have decided and am not going back on my words. Am meeting the buyer today if that has to kill me." Lian said walking down the stairs.

"You can't. Trust me something bad might happen. What if you end up getting killed?" he couldn't bring himself to tell her that the person behind this has his father.

But Lian cut off the receiver and walked out. She refused to be escorted by the guard because to her this was a personal matter. She also knew the guards won't let her leave if they knew her plan. So, she entered the car and left.

When she got to the hotel, she texted the buyer on Facebook. This buyer's account had no profile picture. It was just an abbreviation of two numbers as the account name. She didn't care much, as long she gets the money. The moment the message was marked as seen, a reply came.

"Am coming from inside the hotel with my assistant. Give me a few seconds."

Lian didn't know how to react. So the buyer stayed in the hotel that night. Isn't it ridiculous? She stood with the parcel of all legal documents and looked at the hotel's main door.

Not long, two people walked out. This buyer wasn't dressed in any fancy clothes. Just a casual shirt and black trousers. His assistant was dressed in casual too. The buyer was in a dolly mask. But this walking style wasn't new. Although he walked like someone who was adapting to a new walking style, it send a familiar feeling through Lian.

But before she could think much, she was also surrounded from behind with four men and both pointed guns at her. She wasn't stupid. When Anes called her to warn her about bad things happening, she had gone back and tucked the mini gun in the closed-in her stocking. And one man in the mask was of no doubt senior Jones. However much he covered himself, she recognised him.

"Dad, I'll die with you."

Senior Jones didn't see that coming. A minigun pointed at him. How did she even know? Someone else ran past the injured security guards. "Dad you can't kill her!" this person was Anes. Senior Jones was caught off guard. The buyer seemed surprised as he pushed the assistant behind him. But again everyone was surprised when a convoy of cars arrived.

Who said Adam was stupid? The moment Lian left, he and the other guards followed her from a distance. If anything had to happen to Lian, it should happen to Adam and Kai first. But before they could react after getting out of the car, the buyer swept his feet to the ground, made a curve jump leaving the dust flying in the air behind him and his kicks caught two men unprepared. Senior Jones and one other man had broken noses and a face buried in the sand. The doll mask fell, and Lian was shocked.

"Fidel!" The parcel fell from her hands. Even the guards were so happy to see him that they didn't see Dallas picking up the parcel and running into the hotel.

Lian was so emotional she didn't know what to do. "Who do you want to leave?" Fidel roughed her hair. "Silly girl. I got you a present."

"But you said you weren't coming back." Lian cried and they hugged and Fidel tied a new necklace around her neck on top of the necklace she had been carrying since childhood.

"Yeah... Am supposed to be confined in the palace now, but thank God your husband has brains."

Ryan was left staring at them and the camera man who never forgot his work. He had even let go of his gun to capture a picture of Fidel descending to the ground like a god.

"Boss..." even Adam was emotional.

"In law." Anes bowed. Fidel would have snorted but he had seen him run in to save Lian. So he looked at him calmly.

"So, this is my assistant as you all see. Can we go ahead with the procedures now?" Fidel asked. Lian coughed lightly while hitting him on the chest.

"The papers... They're gone." Amidst the happiness, Anes noticed the parcel missing. The guards were to react but Fidel motioned them to stop.

"Dallas has it. He escaped through the secret tunnel at the back of the hotel." He said. "I'll get him since he wants to test the waters."

"How did you know?" Lian asked.

"Am good at playing cards too. I studied the hotel." He said. "You're really a stupid girl. Didn't you even notice the abbreviation on the account?"

Fn Lf Fidel Nolan, Lian Fidel. She didn't know how to react. "how did you know my plan?"

"I have ears and eyes. The account is two days old. That is exactly what I needed to know to be here. When you want to sell the hotel, and when you are planning to leave.

Is this why you didn't even notice I have taken the ticket from your pocket when we hugged?"
