CHAPTER 21:
"She is but..."
"But he hasn't taken me home yet sir." Lian cut Fidel short and said smiling. Who wouldn't learn her lesson? Just yesterday, he had embarrassed her and she won't allow it happen. Fidel was surprised by her response and looks at her confused.
"Sir, can we please have time alone?" Lian asked politely.
"Sure." The President nodded. Lian pulled Fidel away. The president couldn't get his eyes of Lian. She was so beautiful and stunning. His wife pinched him hard.
"Am just wondering how he got such a beautiful woman. Besides, I never heard he was married." The President said.
"Am I not beautiful?" his wife became jealous.
"Compared to her, I can only say you have inner beauty." The President told his wife. Mrs. President chocked on her own saliva. Her own husband was disgracing her and she wasn't happy about it. So she started shedding tears. At first the president didn't know what he said wrong but after revising his words, he opened his eyes wide.
"I wasn't in my right mind honey, am sorry. Of course you are the most beautiful woman in the world."
Meanwhile, Fidel and Lian stopped on the balcony of the hotel.
"Why did you bring me here?" Fidel asked.
"I don't mean anything bad ok? Am just afraid you'll embarrass me again. I should start teaching you how to behave in public." Lian said.
"I didn't say anything bad did I?"
"No you didn't. That's because I finished the sentence for you."
Evening...
Senior Jones was discharged from hospital looking weak and emaciated. Kate hadn't received any reply from Lian so she didn't know what to do. She thought probably Fidel wasn't behind this. She decided to plan and visit Mr. Grey that evening. But she also met Aned preparing so she was curious. But Anes said,
"I want to start a new job as a guard at Mr. Fidel's castle."
"Are you mad? You were never even trained to be good in this life. Those guards are like robots. You can't match them in anything." Kate was shocked at his own brother's decision. She got dressed and drove to the Grey's house.
She was welcomed in a cool manner since Mr. Grey was a humble entrepreneur and business man. She was even offered a cup of hot tea for the cold evening. She sat politely before him.
"Mr. Grey, am here on the issue of my father's company. I know I can't convince you if you were threatened, but can you please tell me who is behind this? Mr. Fidel?" Kate went straight to the point.
"Mr. Fidel? Even though I have never seen this great man, am sure he wasn't the one." Mr. Grey said. "I didn't feel any power from him."
Kate took out the photo she had grabbed from the castle and showed Mr. Grey. "Is he the one?"
"No he isn't. The guy who came, his skin wasn't this bright. He didn't even look as luxurious. He was a bit short in height compares to this man." Mr. Grey said.
Who had his father really offend? Kate had never met Ryan so she didn't know him. But she might know him soon because he wasn't going back to the empire. He took the risk of following Fidel since he was an orphan and didn't have anything to loose. Kate thanked Mr. Grey politely and left.
That evening, as Lian took a rest in VIP section of the hotel, Fidel went to meet Dallas in the very same hotel. Dallas was afraid of this man already after hearing what happened to senior Jones. Fidel wasn't a man who ever came out in public and he never even showed his face randomly. So Dallas didn't really know how powerful he could be until he witnessed it. Right now he felt like apologising and even licking his feet but it was late because the air around Fidel was suffocating.
"If you can keep your land for the next twenty four hours, I'll let you own the hotel." He said.
Dallas sighed feeling he was at peace now. He had grabbed the land from old Hannes and forced him out. Since old Hannes didn't have reinforcement, Dallas had to use just a few millions to kill the case. Fidel knew that and was now using it as a tramp card. He would simply have crashed him with one slap but he didn't want to be so violent. Besides, he was never someone who would care about injustice, but seeing the state of old Hannes, he decided to do it once.
"Thank you sir, you are so generous." But immediately the words left his mouth, a phone call from his wife came in.
"Honey, the police are here to take us and the kids in the station."
Dallas cut of the call and smiled at Fidel, "Sir, something came up and I have to deal with it." So he left in a hurry.
In the dark, Fidel carried the sleeping Lian bridal style and asked everyone not to make any noise. Then they drove back to the castle with Lian on his lap. The same night, the Dallas family spend it in the station and early the following morning, they were driven to court.
Morning...
Fidel didn't want to rush to work until Lian woke up. So he went to have a conversation with his guards who were gathered at the balcony on the call of their boss. Everyone was curious as to why he called them. It didn't seem and official meeting because they were all standing and he also just came and stood there. Time for slight jokes... Kai thought.
"So, I want you guys to give me an idea as to how I can romantic to my wife." Fidel said on a serious voice.
Many guards chocked on their own saliva. The suggestion was embarrassing enough and using an official tone was making the joke sour.
"Boss, I think am still a virgin." Kai whispered but loud enough for everyone to hear.
"You think?" Max asked while widening their eyes at Kai. "Are you not sure of yourself?"
