The little bride

"Adelia...huff...Are, are y-you... Are you crazy!?" Willow panted, out of breath. He just blindly ran away from the cafeteria without any regard for the place or direction and all that mattered was that he had to get away from there, fast. Only after running for about 15 minutes did he show any signs of stopping.

"W-why did you...do t-that?!" He asked angrily. Even though his voice was trembling due to all that running and dragging, the anger in it was still evident.

Adelia also took some deep breaths before making a haughty expression. "Why did I do that, Will? Well, since you weren't not advancing the plot, I had to take the initiative. Plus, it was a perfectly good opportunity!"

"What good opportunity? How would you feel if some random girl spilled food on you and then offered her body as repayment?!"

Knowing where he was going, Adelia said adamantly, "Well, you're not just some random guy. You're his bottom. Plus, I'm straight so of course, I won't accept. But he-" Pointing in the direction of the school building, Adelia said exasperatedly,"-is gay. So it was fine, probably."

Willow made a face that clearly said 'I can't understand your crazy antics and thinking.'

Seeing his doubts on her plans for the plot, she patted him reassuringly. "Trust me, Will. Just trust me. It'll all work out."

At his not so assured and apprehensive face, Adelia rolled her eyes. "Look, all we have to do is get reviews, right? We'll get them, trust me. I read a lot of novels so I know what readers like. Our plot is good and it's advancing fast-"

"-But, he hates me. Won't the readers dislike it?" Willow interjected. He was feeling a lot down for some reason. No, it totally wasn't because he was sorry or worried about Charlie!

Really, he couldn't care less about what Charlie thought of him, but their life depended on those comments. It was all...for the comments and points. Really.

Listening to his worries, Adelia let out a completely insensitive laugh. "What? He hates you? Don't talk stupid, Will. I know you're silly, but no need to make it so obvious."

Willow was so fed up with life now that he didn't even bother to reply to her comment. Noticing his depressed state, Adelia's face softened a little. "He doesn't hate you. This incident just made him notice you, and that's a good thing."

Patting his shoulder, she ruffled his hair and said, "Now, let's go back, alright? Or is our little bride too embarrassed to face his top now?"

Willow's face became red like a tomato. With a flustered expression, he cried, "W-what bride? I'm telling you, Adel, stop this-"

Cutting him midsentence, Adelia laughed and said teasingly, "-Haha, alright, alright. I won't do that anymore, little bride."

"Sorry to interrupt your sibling moment, but I'm here. Why? Well, because the author has zero EQ and can't successfully write an emotional scene. She wasn't sure what to do next and just randomly brought in a comic relief character like me."

"What?" Adelia questioned. The system spoke so fast that she didn't even know what this stupid guy was saying.

"Nothing. Anyway, I'm quite impressed. You didn't completely forget about the plot after all."

"Who said we forget about the plot, huh?" Adelia argued with the system while Willow just stood there silently. He was far too fed up now, and would just prefer to fade into the background if possible. All this ordeal today left him so tired that he couldn't even be bothered to care anymore.

"Oh, I almost forgot. Uh, you guys had some comments but I blocked them out since you were in the middle of a scene. Would you like to see them now?"

Adelia nodded and 3 comment boxes floated into the air.
