"I'm back, Will."

While he was still trying to think of something, Willow felt two arms encircle his waist from behind.

"Oh god, Willow, are you alright? Hic...I was so scared when you suddenly disappeared-" The back of his neck suddenly felt wet as the person tightened their grip.

Willow turned to see Charlie's scared face. Oh...So he was worried about him?

Somehow, this worry...It made him a little happy. Still, he patted Charlie's head reassuringly and whispered, "Hey, why're you crying? I was alright. I'm sorry for worrying you."

A few sobs later, Charlie finally calmed down. He released him before hurriedly wiping away his tears. He couldn't give Willow the impression that he was a cry baby, after all.

Charlie gripped Willow's shoulders and stated firmly, "Let's get out of here, Will. I swear that I'll take revenge on whoever did this to you-"

When Charlie started dragging him, Willow yanked his hand away. He cried, "Hey, Charlie, wait! Someone saved me, they're still in there! Let's rescue them first, okay? I ran to get help but I didn't have my phone-"

"Alright. I'll call for help," Charlie took out his phone and called the police. To be honest, he was a little upset that someone else saved Willow and got his favour, but this person did save Willow. He was also thankful.

Being the male lead and all, the police just magically materialized next to him. Willow led them to the place urgently. He won't get negative reviews if a side character died because of him, right?

When they reached the corridor, he stopped in his tracks. He expected to see blondie with many wounds, defeated and helpless. But the reality was quite different. Blondie was still covered in wounds, but not defeated. The shady guys were the one's defeated and helpless.

Even the cops were confused as one of them asked Willow, "The person you wanted to report...Is it him or the people lying down?"

Inching closer to the barely conscious man, Willow knelt down and asked, "Hey, are you alright? Thanks for saving me just now."

Blondie nodded. When he didn't say anything, Willow decided to introduce himself first. He said, "I'm Willow Astor. You?"

As soon as the words fell, blondie looked like he was injected with an energy serum or something. The previously tired man immediately lifted his head hopefully. His hands were trembling as he caressed Willow's cheek and asked, "Is that really you, Will?"

"Ah, yes. I'm indeed Willow, but...I'm sorry, have we met before?"

At that confirmation, blondie smiled and uttered three words before passing out.

"I'm back, Will."
