A 'too successful' play

"You evil bug! What are you trying to do to your own sister?" A guy with a pointed hat screamed, coming out from behind a cardboard tree.

"What am I doing? You're the one overreacting! And you're ruining the play!" The other guy shrieked back. Each of them held one arm of the girl- Oh wait, the boy, as they tried to pull him towards themselves.

The narrator made one last hopeless attempt to save the story. "-Now, the evil witch scolds the children for eating-"

"Don't think I can't see how you were scooting so close to my innocent Willow- No, Gretel before!"

"YOUR Gretel? Excuse me, Mr. Witch. The only one qualified to call Gretel like that is me, Hansel."

"Gross, that's incest!"

"Well, at least I'm not an evil witch who wants to eat her!"

"At least I'm not a brother. BLOOD BROTHER!" Witch guy tried to forcefully remove Hansel's hands. He pushed him back and the evil witch fell towards the cardboard house, knocking the whole thing down.

"THUD!"

"...Oww." Charlie groaned as he rubbed his head. He quickly got up and glared at Claude who smugly held Willow's hand.

Charlie's pointed hat was knocked down, exposing his messy and sweaty hair. Some of the strands clung to his face, making him seem even more handsome than he normally was.

"You hit me, bug!"

"You tried to push me away first! Childish brat! Can't you at least do this properly?" Claude screamed. This play was beyond saving now. It was all this idiot's fault!

"Oh, you're blaming me now?! Hah, why were you the one sticking like gum to him, then! It was disgusting!"

Everyone, "..."

Willow, "..." He can't do this anymore.

To understand what was going on now, let's go to the situation 15 minutes ago.

The play had a good start. Well, if you don't count Adelia going completely off story, Louise flirting with her continuously, and then forgetting to mention Hansel and Gretel at all. Fortunately, the narrator could somewhat save the situation and continue the story. Then came the part where they leave Hansel and Gretel in the forest. That was somehow done too.

It was precisely at this moment that the trouble began. In this scene, Hansel and Gretel are supposed to be shivering from the cold at night. Then, they're going to find the candy house and eat it.

Taking Willow's hand, Claude whispered, "Don't worry, sister. I will surely get us out of here."

Willow just nodded, not knowing what to say. Well, Gretel had very few lines in the story. Almost all the talking was done by Hansel since he's the older one. He just has to push Charlie in the fire.

Taking both of his hands, Claude tried to make it more believable by chattering his teeth. He scooted closer and covered them both with his rag like cloth. "Let's cover up for now. Stay close to me, Gretel, so you don't catch a cold."

Willow could only nod along as he followed whatever Claude did. Both of them felt a pair of eyes on them. Well, technically there were many eyes on them, but this pair of very hostile eyes belonged to a certain jealous someone.

"...It's gonna go down from here." Willow muttered to himself. He knew something would happen now. It had never been so peaceful. This play, it had been too successful.
