"You have a beautiful name, I will never be able to forget it," YanJun replied with a bright smile hoping to earn the boy's trust with every word he said. He wondered what else the boy must have said while his hearing ability took a very short vacation.

He made a very good friend in the young boy who was cute when he wanted and adorable as a child but also matured and intelligent when he wanted. There were not many surprises. The master of the house had a meeting to attend to so he left the two together and YanJun was pleased with that.

He thought Mingyu was going to tell him to return to his room when he came to tell them he had a meeting to attend but he said nothing. He was nice even after he had spoken about getting his phone for the app beta testing.

The major surprise he got was discovering how well-done the app was. It was very different from the app a child his age will create. It was a game that felt too comfortable to play as an adult and require a lot of intelligence than hand movements.

The minor surprise was the computer setup in the boy's room and the shelves of books since that was expected from a traditional genius. The boy seemed to be following in his father's footsteps as he knew a lot about computers and mathematics.

"Do you want to play basketball?" the boy asked after giving YanJun a tour of the second floor of the central house where he occupied.

He told YanJun that his father occupied the third floor. he remembered going around the ground floor and he knew his way around it since the boy took him around again.

"Yes, I do. I saw a guitar in your room, do you love music?" he asked the boy curiously. He felt it will be good to have something both of them loved.

"Yes, I do. You made me love music," the boy replied energetically nodding.

The boy's broad smile had YanJun smiling. He was not a fan of playing basketball, it was too draining especially after working out in the morning.

"You don't seem to like basketball," the boy commented when he noticed YanJun's hesitation.

"Oh, I am too tired for it or . . . could I say, lazy?"

The boy smiled and shook his head. "Do you want to teach me how to play the guitar? I have been unable to learn it since I bought it," Jason offered another activity. It felt like he was unwilling to let YanJun leave.

YanJun gave his first guitar lessons. It was more difficult than he expected in the beginning because he believed he will simply need to say a few words to the genius but the boy was a little boy and when he came down to his level, it became fun and easy.

He was still exhausted when he returned to his room but he ended up creating a bond with the boy and got a job as the boy's tutor which meant they will be meeting often enough to get him what he wanted.

He ate dinner alone and that made him feel weird. He had gotten used to eating alone. When he remembered how the two of them wanted to feed him more than themselves. It made him smile subconsciously when he remembered how Lu Mingyu had to feed him and his son while eating little.

Lu Mingyu looked like he needed more to eat compared to the two others but he did not seem to bother. He looked satisfied watching the two of them eat.

He looked down at his food remembering how his father had to serve the three people he ate with. He did it diligently without complaining it looked like he loved doing it rather than eating.

It made the smile he was not aware of disappear and his lips pressed together as his grip on the chopstick tightened. He wished things could go back to the way they were whenever he visited the country.

He wished they will be as happy as he has always dreamt that they will be when he was away. The imagination was what had him going with so much confidence because he had the support of those who cared for him.

Now those supports were gone and even if he does all he wanted to do, will it be like he pictured it to be in his dream? He lost his appetite and the plates were cleared. He decided to soak himself in warm water to ease his burden.

He was in the bathtub longer than he expected and when he walked into the bedroom, the master of the house was lying on his bed with his tablet as he scrolled and tapped on the screen seemingly oblivious of YanJun's entry.

YanJun returned to the bathroom and closed the door behind him. He pressed his back against the door as he took deep calming breaths hoping to calm his racing heart.

He wanted to run to the man on the bed and clamp his finger over his neck. He strongly believed that his life would have been very different if that man had not come into his life. He concluded that he must have betrayed his country in his past life to deserve such wickedness.

It took a few minutes for him to calm down. He returned to the room and walked to the bed. He laid down on the other side of the bed and faced the other side. The bed was wide enough to keep them apart throughout the whole if none of them rolls to the other side after all it was not a single bed.

He was willing to remain stiff like a pole until the following day even if it means he has to stay awake through the night but was that man willing to do the same?

"I will not force you to have a relationship with my son if it bothers you," Lu Mingyu's low deep voice filled the quiet room.

YanJun further stiffened if that was possible. "I . . . I am comfortable with him. He is a good boy." Most likely better than his father. But he could never add that at the moment.

A pair of hands wrapped his waist and he was pulled into a warm embrace. "You don't have to, if you don't want to."

"I am lonely here, I could use a cheerful and intelligent companion like your son."
