After being dumped by her live-in boyfriend in an unfamiliar city, Imelda finds herself drunk in the wrong noodle shop on the wrong night. She is abducted by a terrifyingly gorgeous mafia thug, and at first she feels like she's moving up in the world with the lavish accommodations she's shown. When the glamor wears thin, she finds herself being used as a prop in a lethal sibling rivalry. While they fight over succession, she is used by both sides and must eventually make a choice in where her loyalties lie.

I felt Yujin quickly untangle from me before I heard the sound of the clothes rack the shop owner was wheeling into the room. “Alright, let’s get you ready to ring in the new year,” she announced upon entering the room.


The process was long and exhausting, but after several hours they found a dress they agreed on, and we were back in the car with Sergio. The ride home was quiet, but not nearly as tense as before. When we arrived at the mansion, Yujin walked me to the suite. “I have some work to do and won’t be in until very late. Paolo will bring your dinner here when it is time. Don’t forget your first day with Elliot is tomorrow, get plenty of rest.”


I turned to look at them. “What am I supposed to do until then?”
