After being dumped by her live-in boyfriend in an unfamiliar city, Imelda finds herself drunk in the wrong noodle shop on the wrong night. Yujin stayed with me until the doctor arrived, then gave her space to give me a full examination. She took a few samples, and asked a frustrating amount of questions for someone who clearly already knew what had happened. I did my best to cooperate for as long as I could, and when she was finished I immediately fell asleep. 


When I woke, it was dark. I was alone in the suite, so I took the opportunity to take a long, hot shower. I was feeling much better than before, but still a bit tender and dehydrated. I speculated how long I’d been asleep and how much I might have missed. 


I dressed comfortably in leggings and a long cardigan, then started looking for where I left my phone. Upon finding and unlocking it, I immediately saw missed text messages from Elliot. In a panic, I tossed my phone on the bed and took a few steps back. I took a deep breath, reminding myself that he couldn’t get to me here.
