"They should heal in a few days," the pack doctor whom I was seeing for the first time announced as he organized his supplies.

"Thank you, doctor," I smiled kindly at the man who appeared to be in his forties but knew he must be older than that.

"We are thankful they are not deep," he nodded at me as I shrugged one of Dante's vests he handed to me hence Courtney destroyed my blouse in the fight. "The medications should help with the pain. Aside from that, she's fine."

"Okay," Dante who stood brooding at the door acknowledged and shifted as the brunette-haired man in a lab coat reached it. "I'll send for you if anything pops up."

"Bye doc," I waved in a smile that vanished the minute he was out the door as Dante bestowed me a glare. "Why the expression?"

"Why were you not in the room?" He interrogated, his grey eyes piercing, as he strolled to my position at the edge of the bed.
