Tanya's POV

"Brief us," Dante instructed Ricky who sat beside me in a loose brown vest and jeans. It had been hours after the incident and so an emergency council meeting had been called to know what had gone wrong.

I had just finished filling the twins in on the situation when Dante came in and assured them of their safety before he was steering me to the conference room where the meeting was being held.

Dante was at the head of the table, as usual, his domineering figure encased in a wine-long-sleeved button-up and black slacks. His hair was a mess and his eyes focused on Ricky as he tapped a forefinger incessantly on the mahogany table.

Victor was to his left in the same cloth as earlier, Dalia on Victor's left in a multicolored shirt above her sweatpants. They seemed not to have gotten a bit of rest since that morning and I felt guilty.
