Chapter 3

A long day.

Maybe that's what some people have in mind these days. Including a charming young girl who was walking in the corridors of the school. Iris her eyes looked around, noticing the atmosphere around her that started to drift because school hours had ended a few hours ago and the students had returned to the dorms.

The sun was starting to set, indicating that the day had turned into night. The glow of the lights that adorn the night makes the atmosphere at the school at night far from scary, especially the light in the glass-insulated hallway that separates the girls' and boys' schools.

The hallway is the busiest place during the day, during breaks, because that's where the boys and girls can see each other. In addition to the hallway, this school also has a ceremonial field and a large auditorium that is used to gather male and female students at certain events.

Carrying out activities and interacting only with students of the same gender, of course, made most students curious. Moreover, in their teens when their hormones are pounding, they naturally have an interest in the opposite sex.

This high school deliberately separates male and female students because they do not want bad things to happen in the school environment that can damage the school's image. This is of course supported by parents who really want security and comfort for their children.

Alice stepped through the hall after aisle to the school's dormitory. Every now and then he stretched his stiff arm muscles. Today was quite a tiring day for him. After finishing giving punishments to Romeo and Juliet, he also had to calm down the students who felt that the punishment was too light and they deserved a heavier punishment than that. Fortunately, after that the atmosphere was conducive again and they could continue their lessons as usual.

Arriving at the dormitory, Alice intends to immediately clean up and rest. However, unlucky, hope is not always as he hoped. Instead, he found Juliet smiling at him with an expression—which Alice thought—quite suspicious.

"What is it?" Alice asked, to the point.

"Nothing," said Juliet, shaking her head. He chuckled softly.

Alice narrowed her eyes, suspicious, then stepped into the room and closed the door. In this dormitory, each room—depending on the size of the room—is occupied by two to four students. Luckily Alice only shared her room with Juliet so she could get some peace at night. Well, even though Juliet wouldn't stop talking it was quite annoying at times.

"Do you want me to massage your body? Or make him a hot drink? Or cook something for you?" asked Juliet luckily like a train that wouldn't stop blindly.

Alice frowned. His hand moved to touch Juliet's forehead, making sure there was nothing wrong with her roommate. 'Not hot,' he said to himself. 'It's unusual for Juliet to act like this.'

"Did you take the wrong medicine today? Or did you just bump into something?" asked Alice in bewilderment. He looked at Juliet with one eyebrow raised. Meanwhile, Juliet actually burst out laughing when she heard a chuckle that came out of her lips.

"Of course not! I just wanted to repay your kindness for helping me earlier."

Alice sighed. "I told you not to worry. We're both friends, so it's only natural that I help you."

After saying that, Alice went into the bathroom, leaving Juliet still standing where she was while scratching the back of her neck.

The next day.

Arthur had just come out of the cafeteria when his eyes accidentally landed on a girl who was standing near the glass screen in the hallway that separated the boys' and girls' schools. The thick glass will be transparent, making it easier for him to see and monitor what is happening behind the dividing wall of the school building.

The man walked towards the glass casually. Arriving at the front, he put one hand in his trouser pocket, while his other hand tapped the glass twice, causing the girl opposite him to flinch and look at him wide-eyed.

Alice, who was waiting for Juliet at first, didn't realize that her presence that was visible from behind the large glass was enough to attract someone's attention. His heart seemed to jump and beat rapidly when a knock on the glass snapped him out of his daydream.

'What the hell? What is this sadist doing there?' Alice asked herself.

Arthur smiled crookedly while waving his hands, as if to show that he was the student council president who was friendly to everyone, including Alice.

Alice returned Arthur's smile with a faint smile that seemed quite forced. He didn't forget to wave his hand at Arthur even though he didn't really like the man. To be precise, Arthur's attitude yesterday was enough to make first impression in his eyes. She doesn't like heartless men who like to do whatever they want just because they have power.

The glass wall between the boys' and girls' schools was indeed soundproof. No wonder the students just looked at each other out of curiosity without being able to actually interact with each other. This is what makes this place one of the most crowded places at break time.

Alice looked around, looking for Juliet who never came. He only found a crowd of students who were happy to spend time in the hallway to see the students in the next building.

Oh, did Alice tell you that it was also what started the close relationship between Romeo and Juliet? At first the two just accidentally looked at each other through the large glass. However, over time, the two began to chat and a feeling of mutual liking grew. The two of them often meet secretly outside of school hours, meeting in this hallway or in the ceremonial grounds where there is no separation between male and female students.

No wonder they were finally caught because the attitude they showed was enough to make the students suspicious. Plus, they're not really good liars. Once caught red-handed, they will not be able to dodge.

Brack!!!

The sound of a loud crash caught the attention of some of the students in sans, especially Arthur and Alice. They turned their heads to the source of the sound. Upon realizing what was happening, the two of them involuntarily snorted and walked towards the source of the sound without a word. The two of them unknowingly did the same thing at the same time.

Alice massaged her temples, unable to deal with the trouble that seemed to occur if she didn't move quickly. Ugh! He couldn't understand what Romeo and Juliet were doing there.

The loud banging sound came from Romeo and Juliet. Alice huffed in annoyance. He had been looking for Juliet's whereabouts but lo and behold, as soon as the girl appeared, she was now pressed against the glass wall separating the girls' and boys' school buildings.

"My babyyyyy," shouted Romeo while kissing the glass. "Honey ...."

While Juliet acted as if she was crying while looking in the mirror, at the idol of her heart who was separated from her. "Babyyyyy," he called spoiledly, pursing his lips.

'I love you,' said Romeo using hand gestures and sign language because Juliet wouldn't be able to hear his voice.

Romeo and Juliet continued to do this shamelessly even though whispers and sneers began to sound from the students who were watching them. A cynical and amused gaze was inevitable. The students looked at them as if they were watching a surgery show on television. Not bad, there is free entertainment in the midst of busy studying students. At least that's what the students who witnessed Romeo and Juliet's interactions were thinking at the moment.

Honestly, if you have to watch a couple drama like this, it feels like Alice and Arthur's stomach is churning, wanting to throw up! It seems that Arthur and Alice are starting to regret not giving Romeo and Juliet a severe punishment. The couple didn't look deterred at all. On the contrary, they are becoming more and more shameless to show the world that they are inseparable lovers.

Alice grabbed Juliet's body, then pulled Juliet's body to follow her and left from there. At first he had to struggle while doing it. However, gradually Juliet's feet began to move to follow him.

An unwilling Juliet screamed, "Noooo! I still want to meet my boyfriend!" The girl exclaimed while waving her hand towards Romeo who was still pressed against the glass wall.

"Juliet, come on. We have to go to class," said Alice which Juliet ignored. The girl was still busy looking at Romeo without the slightest boredom. "Come on, Juliet! Come with me!"

"My Romeo!" shouted Juliet in an exaggerated tone.

Gosh, what did Alice dream about last night that she has to watch two lovebirds act like they don't want to be separated by anything but death like the story of Romeo and Juliet in the movies. Oh, of course they're not the same. In movies, everything looks romantic. Contrary to what was happening before his eyes right now.

On the other side, Arthur, who was watching the drama created by the couple, became furious. With one swift movement, Arthur tugged at Romeo's uniform collar until the man was no longer pressed against the glass. He also told Romeo to immediately walk away from there with him.

"Romeo, stop acting like a child," Arthur snarled. "Let's go from here."

"But...."

"Let's hurry!"

Inevitably, Romeo finally walked after Arthur, who first stepped in front of him. Romeo looked back, found Juliet who had disappeared from sight, he sighed softly. In fact, he still misses Juliet because since that afternoon, he has not had the chance to meet Juliet. Usually, at night they always secretly meet and spend some time together. It seems that Dewi Fortuna is not on her side.

"Don't embarrass yourself like that, Romeo!" said Arthur.

"Aren't you curious, Arthur?"

Arthur stopped in his tracks, then turned around. He looked at Romeo who also stopped in his tracks with one eyebrow raised. "What do you mean?"

"Aren't you curious about the girls over there? Who knows a girl might catch your eye and make you fall in love."

"And end up being punished like you and Juliet?" joked Arthur.

Romeo laughed. Arthur's words really managed to stab him right on target. Although Arthur is known as a cool figure who doesn't throw funny humor too often, his sarcastic jokes can always cheer up Romeo.
