Chapter 4

"I'm probably wondering what's in there," Arthur added after a moment of silence. "But I won't do what you did just out of curiosity. It's too risky, Romeo. Moreover, I'm currently the student council president. I must be able to set a good example for the other students."

"So you're actually curious too?" asked Romeo who was ignored by Arthur. "You can meet the girl you like secretly."

Arthur chose not to respond to Romeo's words. Instead, he diverted their conversation to another topic. "Don't forget we have basketball practice this afternoon to prepare for the tournament," he said, patting Romeo twice on the shoulder, before finally walking away.

"Then when can I meet Juliet??!" cried Romeo. Arthur no longer listened to what Romeo said. The boy chose to walk casually to class while humming softly, singing his favorite song.

Meanwhile, elsewhere at the same time, Juliet is seen lying face down on the table. Every now and then he sighed and looked at Alice with his pitiful eyes. But Alice paid no heed to it at all. The girl was seen busy reading the computer science material she was studying.

"Aren't you dizzy from reading the material?"

Alice chuckled. "You know I'm not very good at this material. That's why I'm studying it."

"Why don't you just ask Arthur for help? Romeo says he's very good at computer science." Juliet tapped her fingers on the table. "Who knows you may become close friends."

"I don't want to get into trouble like you. You must know that the rules in this school forbid girls and boys from getting too close... Especially when it comes to dating like you and Romeo," Alice answered without taking her eyes off the book.

Juliet pursed her lips. "Oh come on. Why are people acting like what I did was a fatal mistake?" he asked, forgetting himself. Even though just yesterday he was whining and asking Alice for help so that he wouldn't be expelled from school. But today, the girl was acting as if she had done nothing wrong.

"Well, that's the truth."

"We just fell in love and chose to be together, that's all," said Juliet, not wanting to lose. According to the girl, there is nothing wrong with loving and being loved. It's a different story if he forces Romeo to love him. But here, there is no coercion of any kind. So, it feels legit, right?

"Haven't you ever been in love?" asked Juliet, curious.

"Not."

"Not?"

"Yup, no."

Juliet slapped her forehead. No wonder Alice had never talked about a man other than her father. As it turned out, the girl had never experienced attraction to the opposite sex.

"You have to try it."

"What are you trying?"

"Fall in love."

"I'm not interested," Alice answered without a second thought.

"Did you know that our school's boys basketball team just won the tournament one week ago?" asked Juliet as she pulled her cell phone out of her bag. The girl seems to be fiddling with her cellphone looking for something.

The girl who was asked immediately closed her book and turned to look at Juliet. His eyes widened when he saw Juliet playing with her cell phone. This is because the school's regulations state that students are strictly prohibited from bringing—let alone using—cell phones during school hours. They are only allowed to use cell phones in the hostel.

"Juliet, what are you doing? Quickly put away your phone before anyone sees it!" she cried with a feeling of trepidation that clouded her mind.

Juliet paid no heed to what Alice, the girl sitting across from her, said. He just sinks deeper into what he is doing.

Fortunately, during recess like this the class is always quiet. In fact, right now there were only the two of them in the classroom because other students chose to spend time off in the cafeteria to recharge their exhausted energy due to tiring class hours, others chose to spend time in the library or in a park located in the neighborhood. school.

"I just wanted to show him something," Juliet said defensively.

"Later after school when we're in the room," Alice replied.

"No. I want to show you now."

Alice sighed wearily, then leaned back against the back of the bench. He was hopeful. Hopefully no one will see Juliet playing on her phone. If that were to happen, he wouldn't want to defend Juliet like he did yesterday when she made a scene by being caught in a relationship.

"Look," said Juliet, showing the video playing on her cell phone. He didn't forget to ask Alice to watch it secretly by holding the cellphone under the table so no one would catch them.

"Romeo looks really cool! I really admire his greatness," said Juliet with sparkling eyes. His lashes were curly and flickering, making his face look adorable.

Out of curiosity, Alice finally watched the video on Juliet's cellphone. A video was played showing the inter-school basketball game that was held one week ago. Indeed, Alice had heard of the victory. However, he had never seen the match either live or on video.

Romeo looks busydribbling the ball and nimbly dodging the opponent, then throwing it to the other members. The game looks so tense, coupled with their scores that are not much different.

"Indeed I did not choose the wrong boyfriend," commented Juliet. "Besides being handsome, humorous, and honest ... He is also very good at playing basketball. Truly the ideal man every woman dreams of."

Juliet supported her chin with both hands, waiting for a comment from Alice who seemed so focused on watching the video she showed. However, Alice still didn't say a word. The girl was still silent while watching the video.

When she first watched the video, Juliet felt very amazed and even more proud because she had a boyfriend who looked very cool and great. The boy and his team have also brought victory to their school. It's not wrong if Juliet is infatuated with Romeo's figure.

Alice was still watching the video intently, watching the way the two teams played fiercely. Until the second when a video played when Romeo fell whiledribbling the ball. The ball that was originally held by Romeo was now taken over by the figure of Arthur before members of the opposing team could snatch it.

Arthur seemed to bedribbling the ball for a while before he finally ran to the ring, jumped high, and did a slam dunk that made a triumphant cheer erupted from the stands.

Alice even gaped with her mouth wide open as she watched that happen. He worked his eyes a few times, then he looked alternately at Juliet and the cell phone in her hand.

"Oh, wow. Arthur is really cool!" he praised, unconsciously.

In the video it is clearly seen that the points shot by Arthur were the points that ultimately brought their school to victory. Okay, Alice has to admit, it seems Arthur isn't the only sadistic student council president she knows. The man had many achievements, mastered computer science, and was even very good at sports. I don't know what else the man could do to amaze those who knew him.

"I didn't think that Arthur was also very good at playing basketball," said Alice, making Juliet suddenly cover Alice's mouth with both hands because Alice praised Arthur in a loud enough voice.

"Hush! Watch out! Don't let anyone hear it," said Juliet, shaking her head and putting her index finger to her lips. "You must stay in your character, Queen!"

"So what?" Alice asked, not sounding quite clear because Juliet covered her lips with the girl's palm.

Juliet took her hand away from Alice's lips and then said, "There are lots of spies here. Would you like it if Arthur knew you were praising him right now?"

"Don't be ridiculous. Where is there such a thing? Is there really someone here who wants to be Arthur's spy? Besides, I don't think he could possibly do such a strange thing."

Juliet chuckled as she scratched the back of her neck that didn't itch. "Well, who knows, right?"

Alice only responded to Juliet's words by rolling her eyes.

"So what do you think? Romeo looks really cool, doesn't he?" asked Juliet. The girl looked left and right. When he thought no one noticed that he and Alice had been watching the video from his cell phone, he asked for his cell phone and put it back in his bag.

"Not as cool as Arthur, anyway," Alice answered absentmindedly.

"Alice!!!"

"Oh come on, Tweety! I know you really admire Romeo. But, it's undeniable that Arthur looked cool in that game too. Well, Romeo was cool too. But Arthur looked even cooler."

Juliet narrowed her eyes. His hand moved to touch Alice's bangs-covered forehead. "I think there's something wrong with you, Alice. You don't usually compliment someone like this. Plus, you didn't seem to like Arthur that much yesterday."

Alice removed Juliet's hand from her forehead. "I really don't like him because he looks sadistic and heartless. But, that doesn't mean I don't want to admit that he is good at playing basketball!" he said firmly. She's not the type of girl who doesn't want to admit the greatness of others.

"There's no mistaking it, there seems to be something wrong with you!" joking Juliet, shaking her head. "Remember, stay cool, Alice!"

Alice only responded to Juliet's chatter with a small chuckle. Is it weird if he compliments someone? He thought it was legal! Not weird at all.
