Chapter 3 - thinking about you -

It's been over 3 weeks since Jay last saw Nashi. He had gone to the guild everyday hoping to see her again, and ask if she was okay.. but she never came by after their close call on the kiss. He remembered the feelings of being dizzy and how it felt so right to kiss her, but also wanted answers as to why his sudden decision to act upon his actions were out of his control.

"Maybe I upset her… should I buy her flowers as a apology? Nah, she would probably call me a idiot or thinking I'm making fun of her… maybe I'll take her some chocolates.."

*Jay mumbled as his sister, Gina overheard him.*

"Why don't you ask her out already oni-chan?"

"Because we aren't 'there' yet… plus I don't think she likes me in that way… Wait! How do you know I like her!!!"

"Because it's so obvious, and I think she likes you too .."

*gina only spoke from times of when she would see Nashi pick him over anyone else to go on missions, besides her brother Liddan . And the fact she would always want to headlock him or grab his hand to have some sort of physical touch.. all the signs pointed to her liking her brother. And she didn't mind it either.*

"Hmm… thanks Gina, maybe I'll just visit her and bring her some flowers…"

*Jay blushed as he furrowed his brows as he saw his little sister give him encouragement and a smug look. He left his home as his mother and father were out on vacation at the moment. They left him in charge of watching his sister but he knew she wouldn't get into trouble so often left her in the house or at the guild while he did his own thing.*

"Nashi… I'm worried, are you sure you don't want to come out with us?"

*lucy asked her daughter who was sulking in her bed alone in her bedroom. Ever since she came home, her siblings also commented on her 'weird' odor, or how she needed to take more baths. She felt a huge chunk of her self confidence plummeted as she was also scared she would lose her control again if she was with Jay or any other of the male friends she had. She was referring to Laurie or Elias.

Laurie was 19 now like her and was gajeels and levys son. He was one of the twins they had, letisha was his twin sister.

Elias was laxus and Mira's son, they only had one child and he was 14. He would occasionally tag along with Gina, Jay, leia, Igneel, and his bestie jue. He would definitely make a scene if he smelled the weird scent she was emitting..

"No mom.. I'm alright… I just want to stay home until this goes away…"

*Nashi curled up in her blanket as Lucy sighed helplessly at her poor daughter.*

"Well.. I'm heading out with your siblings to get some fresh air, your father won't be back until tomorrow and Liddan is at the guild today if you need anything please call my communicator okay?"

*lucy saw the blanket shuffle seeing Nashi nodded underneath it as she closed her door again and left there home.*

Shortly after Jay had arrived at the Dragneels residence which he just missed seeing Lucy and the crazy bunch pass by on the path. He had stopped into the forest to get some flowers that smelled like Nashi which were peonies. While he did that, he was unaware the dragneels had passed by him and they didn't notice either. He walked up to the front door as he knocked but no one was home.

"Hm weird… usually one you the kids open the door.."

*Jay talked to himself as he tried the knob but it was locked. He sighed as he checked the shoes they all had, everyone's shoes seemed to be missing except Nashi's.*

"Good… she must be sick home alone then…"

*he looked around for a way to go inside but only saw that the window belonging to Nashi was open… he was not looking forward to it but he had assumed already he would have to climb all the way to her window.. he would call for her sure, but what if she was sleeping or she couldn't move? All these scenarios filled his head as he shook his head physically to try clearing his head.*

'Why am I thinking about this so much? I should hurry up and just call her or..'

Jay looked down to see a ladder available…

He got an idea now as he grabbed the ladder and placed it underneath Nashi's window. The ladder barely reached the bottom frame of her window since she was in the 2nd story of the house. He began climbing up as he reached the window to see nobody inside but a bunch of bundles of blankets on the bed.

The room looked a bit messy but he only assumed that's what reflected on Nashi's personality, wild and messy.

He stepped inside the window frame as he sat by the window, he took a breath and called out to Nashi… hoping maybe she was in the room somewhere or had gone to use the bathroom.

"Nashi? Are you here?"

*Jay saw the blankets move and stiffen at his call, he smiled now holding back a laugh as he heard her response.*

"Nope, Nashi's not here right now… come back another day Jay.."

"Nashi…. I'm not stupid enough to believe that… plus I came to see you… I'm worried about you.."

*Jay felt a huge weight on his chest as he decided to stay by the window as he spoke out to her some of his feelings.. he wanted to be sure that the feeling he felt for her was mutual. Everything was so chaotic ever since that time of their 'almost' kiss, he wanted to know what Nashi's intentions were back then, it was eating at him.*

"Worried?"

*Nashi poked her messy bed head out of the blankets now as she looked at Jay.. she didn't know Jay can also worry about her? He was her arch-rival, frienemy, and someone who wouldn't be worried if she tripped down the stairs infront of him. Something was off…*

"Yes, I'm worried.. you haven't come by the guild and every time I ask Liddan, he just avoids the subject or ignores my question. Nashi, what's going on?"

*Jay furrowed his brow in a way he looked exactly like his father, grey. He decided now to close in on her as he sat on her bed looking at her.*

"N-nothing Jay! You should leave now… I'm not okay right now and I promise to explain things later so just leave."

*Nashi felt her fever come back as she looked away from Jay. The open window wasn't helping her get any fresh air to calm down and she felt herself cornered like a animal.*

"No Nashi, I came to visit you and see if your okay. Look! Your burning up with a fever! Let me go get you some-"

*Jay was about to get up but felt a huge grip pull him down onto the bed and felt himself get pinned with a massive strength he was unfamiliar to. He blinked as he saw Nashi above him panting with glowing fixated eyes like the last time.*

"Leave- *pant pant pant* I don't know how much I can control myself Jay… but leave!"

*Nashi was angry as she had to muster a strong emotion to push out the heat that filled her up.. she was in fight or flight mode, and she chose fight.*

"Fine.. I'll leave but let go first.."

*Jay seemed a bit hurt but didn't want to show it, he saw now that what he had hoped were feelings Nashi was developing for him ended up him overreacting. He just wanted to go home..*

Nashi kept glaring at him unaware of how mean she just sounded to him. She squeezed her eyes as she got off him, he got up then to dust himself and walk out her door but stopped and came back to give her something…

"..here… these were for you… hope you get better dimwit.."

*Jay tossed some flowers in her bed that looked like they been through hell… she looked at them as she picked them up gently to smell them before hearing her door get slammed shut. She wondered what was his deal? Was he on his man period or something?*

Lucy had a bad feeling in her gut, so she dropped of the kids at the guild and came back to the home to check up on Nashi… she tried calling her halfways there but she didn't answer… as a mother she got worried as she finally made it back home and was about to open the front door. She was only met with the door flying open and Jay getting startled by her.

"Jay! … what are you doing here?"

"Oh! Um! Im sorry Mrs. Dragneel! I just came to check on Nashi since she hasn't been coming to the guild…. I see she's fine… so I'll excuse myself.."

Jay walked out leaving lucy unable to hold him back… what had happened??

Lucy went upstairs to find Nashi sitting on the floor looking at some sad flowers. Lucy knocked as the door was already opened finding her daughter to look at her.

"Mom… did I do something wrong?.."

*lucy saw some tears well up in Nashi's eyes as she came to comfort her daughter.*

"Oh Nashi… what will I do with you…?"

*lucy hugged her daughter who finally let out some choked cry's.*
