MISOGYNISTIC MEN

THIRD POV.

Ana couldn't stop smiling as she got ready. She was going to meet with a client. Some part of her was anxious, she had never done this before.

She was scared that she was going to lose and the client would decline their proposal but she was a new wan who did not take no for an answer.

She looked at herself in the mirror and was pleased with the outfit. The pink suit hugged their body in the right places and also gave her an official look.

The black heels she was wearing matched the suitcase that she was carrying.

She had booked a reservation for breakfast and had already invited the client. She said a quick prayer and left her hotel room.

The car was already outside when she got to the lobby and Raul her driver was waiting to open the door.

"Good morning ma'am ", he greeted her as he opened the door.

"Good morning too Raul ", she said as she smiled at him and entered the car as he closed the door behind her.

"Are you ready for your meeting ?", he asked her as he started the car.

"I am but I am kind of nervous", she had not tended to go for breakfast with the client. She would have much preferred to go to his ranch and see the products that she wanted to sell for him.

"I think you will do great don't worry about it, he needs you he will take it ", Raul said as she smiled.

The next ride was in silence and she got a lent to think about Vincenzo. She had talked to him the night before as she went to bed.

He had told her he had a couple of meetings during the day. She made a pact of calling him that evening and hoped that she had good news for him.

In fifteen minutes they were already at the hotel that she had reserved.

"I wish you luck ", said Raul as he opened the door for her.

"Thank you ", she said.

She looked at her watch and it was two minutes to nine. She was in time and she hoped that he was in time too.

" Hello, I made a reservation for two ", she said as she handed her card to the cashier.

" Hello to hope you're having a wonderful name. Let me check first, what is the name you used for the reservation? ", the waitress asked her with a smile on her face which she assumed was fake.

" Mrs. Morello ", Anna said. She still wasn't used to referring to herself as Mrs. Morello.

" Okay table four the one right at the corner ma'am someone will be there in a minute to take your order ", she said as she showed Anna the table she had booked.

" Thank you I'll appreciate it ", she said as she made her way to the table.

It was already nine and he was not yet there. If there was one thing that she hated was people who were never there in time.

Fifteen minutes had passed since she had arrived at the hotel. She had already asked for a coffee refill and he was nowhere to see.

She looked at the document in in front of her as she tried to understand some of the rules. She thought that thirty percent was a fair price for the service that they were offering him.

They were opening up his business to other continents which meant that in a couple of years, he was going to be one of the big names that Vincenzo liked working with.

The door opened and he saw a man enter the restaurant. He was dressed like a cowboy and she understood that maybe he was dressed like that because this was Mexico but that wasn't an appropriate outfit to wear to meet but that was none of her business.

He went to the cashier and a minute later he was walking toward where she was seated.

He looked shocked to see her there as if he had been expecting someone else and she could understand that because it was Vincenzo who had made the call.

"Hello ", he said as he sat down.

"Hello, do you always show up this late to meetings ?", she asked as she shut her laptop.

"I had a situation at the ranch that I had to take care of ", he said as he took off his hat and set it on the table.

With the hat off he looked like maybe he was in his late thirties. She really couldn't guess his age because he had a mixture of features of a young man but also an older man.

His black hair was a mess on his head and then she understood why Vincenzo never worked with people like him.

"Wasn't there someone else to handle it ?", she asked her as the waitress came over to take his order.

"I'll have an espresso ", he said as he smiled at the waitress with a boyish smile.

"I thought I was meeting with Mr. Morello who are you ?", he asked her looking at her with disgust like she was some errand girl.

"Sorry my husband couldn't able to be here with you today he had other important matters to attend to ", she said as she smiled at him the shock on his face was worth the eight hours she had been sitting on the jet.

"Oh am sorry but I wanted to discuss business with him. not with you. You can't give me what I want ", he said as he chuckled.

At first, she had pinned him to be just a normal cowboy who thought he was better than everyone else.

The more he talked though he realized how misogynistic he was. He spoke with anger towards her like she was nothing. Like he was trying to say her opinion didn't matter at all and she was just about to wipe the smirk off his face.

"See we are your best option. Anyone would be grateful to have us on their side. Am so sorry for you that my husband wasn't available to come to see you here today", he said as she took the laptop and put it back in her suitcase.

"Am the only shit you have at our company it's so funny how your proposal had been forgotten until I saw it. If you can't work with me then maybe I was wrong. I thought you had potential ", she said as she stood up.

"It was a pleasure to meet with you enjoy your breakfast it's on me ", she said as she smiled and walked to the cashier.

She knew that he would call. They always did because once she was gone she would realize that he was the one who needed her and not the other way around
