VILLAIN

THIRD POV.

EARLIER THAT DAY.

As Vincenzo looked around at Anna's phone his heart sank when he saw her phone. He was distraught with himself as he went back to his office where Brianna had asserted dominance by seating in his chair.

The look on his face was enough to make her stand up without him uttering a word.

"Am sorry I didn't mean to upset her ", she said offering him a sweet smile as she walked over to where he was standing.

Veins had popped on his forehead. The rage inside him was building up and all he wanted was for Brianna to leave him alone.

"Leave ", he said lowly as he tried to calm himself down.

"I came here to tell you that we are supposed to go to the clinic together you just can't push me out because I hurt her feelings ", she said chuckling and taking a seat.

Vincenzo chuckled as he walked over to her and grabbed her by her arm.

"I am going to tell you this just once. You are just someone that was there when I wanted to be laid, she is my wife don't you ever talk to her without asking me first? Now get out before I lose my temper ", he said through seething teeth.

You couldn't quite tell the emotion on Vincenzo's face as she chuckled and left his office.

Vincenzo couldn't understand why he was troubled. He felt like there was a fire inside him that was scorching him.

He felt like ripping his heart out just so he calms down. He knew she was not going to forgive, you can only forgive so much until you just can't anymore.

He cared about her something that shocked him. It was supposed to be a marriage that benefited them both with no feelings involved but yet again he was going against his own rules.

He had to go find her, she knew almost no one so the only place she could go was home.

He was going to apologize to her and tell her how it had all happened.

He wasn't going to deny her whatever she wanted this time round. If she wanted a divorce then he was going to grant her that.

All he did was hurt her feelings over and over again. He knew he didn't love her but he still felt something for her.

He had never realized what he was doing o her until that moment. He had broken her. He had given her close to no attention when she had told him over and over again that was the only thing that she ever wanted from him.

As he drove home all he could think about was the face she had made the first time she had found him with another woman.

It was hard to hide pain when it came to someone you cared about. He knew she had been hurt but hadn't known what to do, after all, it was just a contract marriage.

If only then he had realized that she was hurt maybe things would have gone differently. Maybe he would have been able to give her what she ever wanted, love.

It was a new concept to him that he did not understand. It was something that he had never felt before.

He didn't want to be that vulnerable about someone. It was something he had never experienced before. No one had ever loved him.

It was hard to love someone if you didn't have an idea of what being loved felt like. He felt like he had been a burden the whole of his life.

His memories were foggy but he remembered his birth mother. He remembered her brunette hair and how she smiled at him.

He could remember how he had cried uncontrollably the day she had given him up. He could never understand why she had given him up.

Hadn't he been a good kid?

All he ever wanted was to be close to her but she had left him like he was nothing.

It was a memory that he tried so much not to remember because he couldn't understand why as a kid he didn't get the love of his mother.

Maybe it was the fact that she loved drugs more than him. He could remember countless times when she would tell him how he had ruined her life.

He had convinced himself that he was a bad kid and maybe he didn't deserve to be loved.

He remembered how he had counted days upon months waiting for her to come back. He had convinced himself that maybe she was just punishing him and should come back for him.

She never came.

The people who came to take her were far from being her parents. They had resorted to taking him just for company.

He was no longer a small kid who wanted parents that showered him with love. He was just used to making someone's marriage last longer.

Even then he had been the second option, never the first.

He hadn't known how all of that was going to affect him. He had thought it was past him and he could be able to have a good life without all that love and happiness as a kid.

All it did was make his life miserable to the point he didn't even realize he was destroying someone who hadn't done anything bad to him.

All she ever wanted was to shower him with love the best way she knew and he just wanted to push her away and show her that he was not the one for her.

He was the villain in her story while she was just an innocent girl that he had plucked and went ahead to destroy instead.

He had done his job to the fullest and all she had done was fail and just like every heartbroken girl, she was the one who was crying.

Her heart bled but yet there was no way she could put the pieces back together.
