SHATTERED MY HEART

His shirt was drenched as he made his way to the house. There was silence and he hoped that maybe she had locked herself somewhere.

He opened the door and stepped inside the house and he could not even hear a squeak.

After looking around the whole house she was nowhere to be found.

What had he done?

He feared for her life by not knowing where she was. He could feel bile rising in his throat and all he felt like doing was punching something.

The silk nightgown she was wearing the previous day was on the floor of her room and he picked it up as he sniffed it.

There was a rush of emotions in him that he didn't know the meaning of. He wasn't happy and neither was he sad.

He was angry, angry at himself for marrying her.

He should have just left her alone at the hospital because he had no business destroying her life the way that he had.

All he could think about were the numerous amount of times she had begged him to even spend a night at home.

The way his eyes looked sad whenever she talked to him. She was always asking for something that he thought was too much for him to offer her.

Now that he thought about it, it was never too much. Her asking him to stop sleeping with women hadn't been too much but he was never interested in making her happy.

He knew how much she had tried.

He could not get her off his mind all he could see was her body in his head and could hear all her sweet moans every time the hheadllofor her

She looked so fragile every time that he looked at her that his heart skipped a beat every time but he chose to ignore it.

He loved the way her eyes shone every time she talked about something exciting. He couldn't like he never listened to her.

___________

She wanted him so badly that she looked over all the bad things that he had done to her and still tried to love him.

As she looked at Dylan who had fallen fast asleep she could no longer keep it in.

She wondered if she had deserved all the hurt that Vincenzo had made her go through.

She wanted to be happy so bad that she did all she could to be the one for him but all he did was bruise her.

Was she stupid for living with a man that didn't love her back?

She now realized that he had never loved her and had meant everything that he had said in the contract that she had signed.

She had thick skin but there were something's that she couldn't protect herself from.

What he never wanted was for him to see her at his worst. To see how badly he had broken her to the point whereby she was begging for a miracle to happen so that she could stop loving him.

She had some good memories with him but they were not enough to make her smile to the point where she forgot of all the hurt that he had caused her.

She didn't want to stop loving him. She has never wanted someone so bad that all her emotions depended on how he was towards her.

Yet again she knew that he wasn't the one for her. She knew that she had to let go. Staying with him was just going to hurt her more.

She didn't know what life was going to be like without him in it. Even though he had never wanted her the thought of him ever being into her had comforted her.

If she told him she was done then all of that just flew out the window.

She knew she wasn't ready but he just couldn't stay in the marriage and wait for him to destroy her.

He had done enough.

She just couldn't let him go just like that with all the damage he had done.

She was big going to be the weak girl that he had first met. She was going to be better than that.

She looked at Dylan as he snorted and wondered why she could never talk love with someone like him.

She knew that he adored her like she was him. He made her feel safe and just let her cry on his shoulder about another man when he still had feelings for her.

Maybe she was not better than Vincenzo. They were the same person all hurting so eine that live them because they didn't want them.

Yet again they were so different because she was a wife. It had not been her fault that Dylan felt the way that he felt towards her.

He knew that it was a love that could never be reciprocated yet he still loved her hoping that one day the love would be reciprocated.

He hoped that one day she would realize that he was the one who would love her the way that she needed and choose him.

He wanted to show her what it felt like to love someone. He wanted her to know what it was like when someone genuinely cared about her and wanted nothing but to show it to her

She and Vincenzo were the same person she was just trying to justify what she did to Dylan to be her fault.

She was also as bad as him and maybe that's why she wanted him so bad. She wanted him to wake up and realize that she was the one for him.

She wanted him to come to his senses and realize that no one would love him the way that she loved him.

It was a lost cause because if he wanted her and adored her then he didn't need to be shown that she was the one for him.

He would love her wholeheartedly and feel like she was important to him.

She didn't want to see it though. She was just in a delusion and all it was doing was hurting her not making her loved.

Either way, her heart was shattered by the love of her life.
