"YOU'LL NEVER BE ALONE AGAIN "

As Raul drove Anna home he didn't ask her whose house she had been at. From the outfit that she was wearing, she knew it was a guy.

He couldn't understand the relationship she had with her husband and how it was easy for them to go around sleeping with other people.

He had never judged her before but all she had been doing recently were things that he hated. If she was tired of the marriage all she needed to do was ask for a divorce.

It couldn't be that hard right?

She didn't say a word to him as she exited the car and entered the house. She want like that normally but he figured she was stressed out.

The other workers had been talking. Their marriage was ending and neither of them wanted to let go.

All they knew was what Anna let them know. They didn't know what Vincenzo did to her to make her act the way she was doing.

To them, it didn't matter what she was doing all they cared about was if they approved of it. It was like she was doing a trial and none of them cared what the relationship was doing to her.

___________

As Anna entered the house she broke down in tears. She had tried to hold herself back but couldn't anymore.

At this point, she didn't even know what she was crying about. She didn't know if she was crying about her parents or Vincenzo.

Her life had turned upside down in the most absurd way possible and all she wondered was what to do to get it back in order.

She knew what she needed to do but was not ready. She knew that she could not force a heart to stop loving someone it adored but didn't the heart know that it was hurting?

All she wanted was to see Vincenzo open the door smiling at her telling her even though they had problems he had remembered that her birthday was the next day.

All she wanted was just one good day. One day when she was happy and didn't think of all the wrong things in her life.

She did not even have any good memories in her mind anymore. All she had been doing was trying to survive and surviving was never happy.

It was draining and it had drained yer completely. She couldn't let it finish her though.

She had just made one big step in her life she could t just give up. Even though every bone in her was telling her to take a break she knew if she did things wouldn't be the same again.

She needed to be busy and forget about Vincenzo and start focusing on herself.

A memory struck her mind and she smiled through the tears.

Sometimes she wished that he had stayed a kid forever. Life had been simpler back then and she had bever worried about anything.

She had been with her mother. She had thought that life was going to be good when she grew up. She sometimes thought that maybe it would have been if she would have grown up with her mother.

She remembered the laughter and giggles but over the years she had convinced herself that the ones she imagined were the right ones.

She did not even remember what her mother looked like and to make matters worse she never had any picture of her.

She had convinced herself that if they looked alike then she would have her memory forever.

She flipped her pillow as the side she was resting in was already wet and covered in her tears.

She didn't understand how her life had turned out to be this sad. She was all alone and for the time it bothered her.

She was alone and no one even cared about her m No one knew about her birthday and no one cared if she even existed.

As she lay there she heard the sound of a car pulling outside and wondered who it was. She knew it couldn't be Vincenzo he took his business trips way too seriously to leave one to come back home because it was her birthday.

She stood up from bed and put on a robe on top of the shirt she had chosen to sleep in.

She knew the only person who would come was Dylan but why he would come she didn't understand. Had her left the place that pissed bothered him?

Apart from her was happy but the only person she wanted to see was Vincenzo. As she reached the living room her heart was beating fast wondering who it was.

As she opened the door all she could see were flowers.

"Hey ", a voice said behind her startling her and she turned to see Vincenzo. You could see the happiness on her face as she hugged him.

As the tears ran down her cheeks she couldn't know if she was crying because she was happy or sad. Her held tight to her as he sniffed her hair.

The shirt she was wearing brought a smile to his face as he smiled. He could never forget it was her birthday even if they were having bad times.

It didn't matter if she wouldn't forgive him for what she had done, he had promised to make her happy on her birthday and he was doing to gobi-ur that promise.

He didn't know what her favorite flower was so the bouquet that had a hundred flowers had all types that they could find.

Anna pulled back from his embrace and walked to the car. It was a new car she could see. All she was interested in were the buses that were in the car because she knew that he probably picked things that she wouldn't even like.

He watched her as she gasped at everything she saw. The pink iPad caught her eyes first and she turned to look at him with eyes full of adoration.

He wanted to make her happy even though all he ever managed to do was make her cry all the time he knew he had to try it this time round.

"I didn't know if you would like it in pink I just figured it could help you with your studies ", he said as he shrugged his shoulders and she couldn't help the tears falling again.

He was by her side in a second as he pulled her closer to his chest shushing her.

"Am sorry did I do something wrong ?", he asked her as he stroked her cheek.

"I just thought you would have forgotten ", she said chuckling.

She knew how she looked crying in the arms of the man who hurt her over and over again but he wanted her too so it didn't matter.

"How could I forget such an important day, you said you hated all your birthdays because there was no one to ever celebrate them with you, I said I'll change that. Am here, you'll never be alone again ", he said as he kissed her forehead and she melted in his hands.

She opened her mouth to talk but the tears made it impossible for her to talk.

"It's okay you don't have to say anything", he said as she smiled down at her and at that moment she felt like she was a little kid getting the love she deserved from her father.
