After having his 5-star gourmet cuisine, the young baby lays down on the grass next to his leftovers.
Well, at least that's over, for now… I wish I had something to flavour this abomination of a fish. But I get what I get.
Anyway, since I'm settled in the way of food for today, it's time to get to work. I can't forget that I'm in the world of One Piece and will need to get really strong if I want to live the life I want. So it's time for a training arc.
It might do me some good to stay here for a while. There's quite a number of fish in this pond, so I can survive for a few months with this as my base. But I obviously have to explore this forest and see how the ecosystem is and hopefully, it's an island inhabited by people.
But for now, to get stronger. I guess since my baby body is way too week, I'll have to start with the basics. Push ups, Sit ups, squats and sprints. All with multiple sets until failure to achieve the highest gains possible.
Also I'll start practicing my Muay Thai. I can't imagine how strong a martial artist would be if they had trained from being a baby. I chuckle.
Now is time for my training arc.
I roll over from laying on my back, get my weight on my arms and push up to a maximum stretch.
Perfect form is the goal, slow descent to strengthen the muscles and fast assent to train the fast twitch muscles crucial for athleticism. My knowledge on scientifically backed training methods from Earth is one of the benefits I have starting off so young.
I can make sure to develop my body in the most optimal way I can think of. Strong, fast and sleek. Get the body to its best point possible before looking to gain powers, like the Rokushiki, Haki, swordsmanship or Devil Fruits. I need to make sure I don't have to use anything as a crutch, but rather, if I get them that they will multiply my strength exponentially. With this, I'll definitely become a powerhouse who can do whatever I want.
….
After about an hour, he has completed doing his exercises for the morning. He learned that he could only do 5 reps of each exercise before failing. Which is pathetic by his regular standards, but he's a literal baby right now, so he has to be patient.
"Oooh, Damn…"
My arms, chest, and thighs are burning, but that's a good thing. It means I'm making progress.
Normally, once a person's muscles are in this state, they would have to rest them for a few days to allow them to heal before working them again. Which is why steroids were so popular amongst gym bro's and body builders, they shortened the time it took for their bodies to recover so they could work out more.
However, I'm in the world of One Piece now. The place where people could suffer life threatening injuries and fully recover in under two weeks. So I hope that my body can recover quickly to the point I can do this 2 times a day. Probably not now, since I'm a baby and still just starting, but once I'm an infant, hopefully.
Anyway, let's see how much I've improved.

Oh, so it seems that being exhausted has a negative effect on my stats, which makes sense really. I just wonder how much I've grown. It's quite unfortunate that I have nobody else to compare myself to.
Maybe if I eat a bit and get some sleep I'll be able to recover faster.
I go to where I had spread out the fish before I went on my run. I had left it in the sun to dry it a bit to get rid of the aweful texture. As I begin eating, I'm glad I did, though the flavour isn't any better.
After a few minutes of torturing my taste buds followed by a drink at the pond it is time for an afternoon nap.
Before that let me put on my diaper so I don't mess up my only sleeping spot.
I wrap my fabric diaper around my groin the same way it had been wrapped before I took it off.
I head back to my sleeping tree and crawl in. This time I don't have a blanket to snuggle since it's still in the sun getting dry. Regardless, I am able to fall asleep almost immediately.
…
Vague images of a time far gone. A dark night, vision obscured by a hailstorm the ground filled with a cold mist. The view of the sky covered by large trees.
Fear, pain and desperation are all that is felt. Not knowing what to do and not sure whether it's tears or the rain welling up in their eyes.
…
I bright light shines on the eyes of the baby curled up in the bark of an oak tree in the middle of the forest.
"Uwaarngh"
I yawn as I crawl out of my bark. It appears to be Morning. Which would mean that I had slept through the afternoon and an whole night. It makes sense considering that I was exhausted.
I feel like my body is a lot better though. I'm filled with energy and my muscles don't ache at all. Almost as if I didn't exercise at all, but I feel lighter and have better control of my muscles.

Yep, my stats definitely improved because of the exercise I did yesterday. Awesome. So to stay consistent is the key. Every morning I should achieve as many sets and reps as is my muscles can handle.
First I need to secure food for the rest of today, so I have to get fishing again. Same plan as yesterday.
I go grab my blanket from where I laid It yesterday and head to the pond.
I take a few minutes to decide on my target. I find another carp of about the same size and species as the one I had eaten.
I follow the exact same plan and movements. I grab wrap the carp and the tug of war begins. It takes a few minutes to drag the fish out of the water. It was easier to catch this time, obviously not by that much.
I take my newly acquired fish to the sunny spot that I had left the other one at. I spread my blanket in the sun before I start prepping my newly caught fish for later.
I eat the final third of yesterday's fish and now it's time to get back to grinding.
