Respond to his kiss

Édouard pressed the foot tightly against the chest of the drunk man on the ground. Charlotte was a little scared to see this side of Édouard. Most of the time, she had seen his playful side.

She walked up to him as many people had gathered there. She held the edge of his sleeve, and he tilted his head. "You do not need to be harsh on him. People are watching," Charlotte said in a low voice.

"Whoever eyes you with a wrong gaze, I prefer to kill that person," Édouard opined. "If I do not punish him today, such men will keep harassing the ladies. Do you really want it to happen?" Édouard asked.

Charlotte shook her head and let go of his sleeve.

"Forgive me, Sir. I will not ever do this," the man on the ground said.

"Didn't I let you go once? You did it the second time," Édouard stated.

The local market inspector arrived there and asked about the commotion. He looked at Édouard and then at Rainard.
