You are so warm

Charlotte panicked and she looked outside the carriage. "It's raining," Charlotte said and then gazed at Édouard. "I think we should return," she opined and asked him if Rainard was following them.

"No. I asked him not to come," Édouard said and continued to look outside. He asked the chauffeur to turn the carriage back to the palace through the small window at his front.

The chauffeur obeyed the command. Because the rain had turned heavier, the horses got difficulty running on the muddied road.

"We are from the palace. What if we didn't reach? The rain is heavy," Charlotte murmured.

"My Lord, it's not easy to turn the horses. Should I just drive to the nearest rest place?" The chauffeur asked.

"Do that," Édouard said. He then looked at Charlotte and placed his hand above her hand.

"Don't worry. We soon will be at a safer place," Édouard said in a gentle tone.
