"Because political marriages are common. That's why for them it's the easiest way to come out of the current problem," Charlotte said and took a deep breath.

"You are such a supportive and understanding husband. I am fortunate to have you," Charlotte stated with a tiny smile. She had a lot of things to say to him, but she was unable to find the right words.

"We are fortunate to have each other," Édouard corrected her and grasped her hand. Their fingers intertwined as they looked at the pond. The water was clean, but since it was dusk, the visibility was lower.
