The woman I've always loved

As the mesmerizing sight of the incoming and outgoing waves captivated their attention, Charlotte playfully slipped away from Édouard and took off running. Her giggles intertwined with the soothing sound of the ocean, reaching Édouard's ears, and he immediately chased after her, determined to catch her.

"Be careful, Charlotte! Don't let yourself get hurt," Édouard worriedly said. His loud voice reached Charlotte's ears, who smiled.

"I won't fall," Charlotte replied.

Finally, Édouard got hold of her and twirled her. His arm securely wrapped her waist, firmly holding her in one place. "I told you not to run. Don't you understand words?" he asked while panting.

Charlotte also gasped for air and smiled at him. "Édouard, wasn't it fun? Also, falling on the sand wouldn't have hurt me," she opined.

"I know," Édouard said, "but what can I do? I don't want you to fall down," he added.
