Bring Tove home [Bonus chapter]

Rainard made his mother eat breakfast and called a servant inside to take the tray away along with the dishes. Juan had also come to the room after he found out about the presence of Rainard in the house.

"Where is Tove? Have you sent her back to her village?" Jane inquired.

Rainard shook his head in denial. "No, she's staying at my friend's house. Her hand was injured when Mother pushed her forcefully," he explained, his tone tinged with complaint.

"Why don't you understand Rainard that she cannot be the daughter-in-law in our family?" She questioned him, gazing into her son's eyes with a lot of hope.

"Why does her societal status matter to you this much?" Rainard questioned. "I said yesterday as well that those outsiders aren't going to come in the days of our happiness or sadness. I want you both to understand this," he stated and gazed at his father as well.

Juan looked at his wife, wondering what her answer would be.
