The Night's Watch Attack

After a year and a half of progress the city of Hardhome after facing so many problems such as food shortages, not being visited by merchants, and a massive influx of new people it has finally stabilized.

There were people of many profession's walking around the city and there were classes of people teaching others the basics of many profession's.

Although it has been a year no person has fully mastered their desired profession, they have gotten to a level where they can start teaching others, freeing up some personal time for Thornir to spend with his son and daughter and to expand the city.

Before the city was located near the sea on the beach but Thornir saw that with the tidal waves and such it would be dangerous if a small child just walked out of their house onto the beach and got swept away by the tidal wave so Thornir moved the city more inland.

He cleared a small portion of the Haunted forests and built a brand-new city that had Nordic buildings and infrastructure. The Carpenter's who had a lot of experience after a year of learning were able to build the city within 4 months with Thornir helping out here and there.

After the 4 months Thornir moved most of the people into the new city and built some stone walls around it to protect the people from an enemy attack, wild animals etc.

Also, because of the increasing migrant's keep claiming to have seen a white walker he also placed infinite burning fire pits around various parts of the wall with at least 5 guards stationed next to it. If by chance a White walker gets close to the wall then the 5 men will sound an alarm and stall the White walker with fire arrows until more people come.

For now only him and Dalla could use fire magic. That is also why he has begun his search for more people who may have an aptitude for magic in order to train them to harness their power.

In the year and a half that he had to search he only found 3 more people out of the thousand's that were already in Hardhome and the thousand's that were constantly migrating to Hardhome.

Of course these three, which were 2 males and a female, would be trained by him personally, and they were all around the age of 14-15, so they had time to grow and learn.

Overall the development of the city was at a good pace, the farms were constantly expanding, and so were the people who lived in the city. And for now Thornir only established one city since he didn't have the people to protect two, but once he feels safe about it, he will start making another city in the middle of the Haunted forests which would be closer to the Cave, so the transportation of resources will be smoother.

Present Day

Thornir was in his room with his 6-month-old son who was laying in the small crib that Thornir introduced into his city.

He was working on drawing some more inventions that he planned to introduce into his city using the knowledge from all the Profession's that he learned. He already had the chimney introduced, making everyone's houses warmer.

But something that would be even better was the Central heating Through underfloor channels which basically was a simpler central heating system where heat traveled through underfloor channels from the furnace room.

This would significantly make people who work inside warmer and keep people's houses warm preventing colds and such.

He had a lot of ideas that would benefit his people and at some point he even wanted to introduce Gunpowder and guns. But the only thing he could probably produce is a musket at best or maybe even a repeating rifle.

But there was no guarantee that he would successfully be able to do it.

While Thornir was drawing the plans Ragvir started crying because he wanted some attention so Thornir put his right hand in the crib for Ragvir to play with.

He would always grab Thornir's fingers and try to pull them apart for some reason, and he laughed since he was enjoying it.

While this was going on in the haunted forest there were 400 people with weapons ranging from bows, to swords and shields. They were all clad in black and since it was nighttime they would be hard to spot.

A person who seemed like the Commander of the Night's Watch men had started ordering his men to get into position as about a hundred archer's lined up. Placed with the archers were some small fire pits that the archers used to light their arrows on fire making a fire arrow.

After a couple of minutes the commander saw that the arrows were all lit, so he put his hand up signaling the archers to take aim.

As soon as he saw everybody was prepared he put his hand down and yelled "LOOSE!"

All the 100 archer's released their arrows into the city.

Behind the wall at one of the guard's posts they were all talking amongst themselves about their daily lives before one of them saw the sky light up full of arrows, so he warned the other's "WATCH OUT!"

He warned the others who looked in the sky and saw the same thing causing them to grab their shields which were laying on the ground next to them and raise them in the air.

But one of them didn't make it in time and was hit by an arrow in his stomach. But the Guards didn't panic since they were trained for this so one of them ran over to the alarm bells and started ringing it.

The people on the street's of the city who were only a few had all rushed to their houses upon hearing the bell while the soldiers which numbered 800 trained warriors and 200 archer's had all rushed to get their weapons and armor.

But 300 Nights Watch soldier's had already started running towards the walls and crossing it. But the Guards were prepared, so they could defend themselves for a while before more enemies came and overwhelmed them.

Stygard, Thorell, and Aranir who were in the city were already rushing to the wall with a couple warriors behind them ready to fight.

Dalla and Val remained in the Keep as ordered by Thornir as he with a very serious face left the keep and dashed into the city. The soldiers who were coming with him were too slow and could only try to run to at least make it to the fighting.

The Fire arrow barrage kept on coming and coming but unlike the first barrage which killed almost 30 people and injured around 20 the people were safely in their houses by this time which were made out of stone, so nobody's house caught on fire.

Thornir could feel lots of rage upon dashing past a few dead people while he healed those who were injured.

After a few minutes he had arrived at the Walls where most of the fighting was happening. And Unfortunately he was rushing, so he forgot his sword, but he was just as proficient in hand-to-hand combat so without a weapon in his hand he dashed in to fight the enemies.
