Chapter 25 True love never dies

But to her greatest surprise, on Friday, Elvis drove into the compound. He stepped out of his car, and looked round. It has been long he visited Ae-Cha and her daughter.

The last he came, should be about 5years ago or so, they have been talking on the phone, he had arranged and met with Chin Cho several times without being caught by Fatima.

But whenever he visited this compound, Fatima always gets to know, maybe she planted something inside the compound to notify her, and he always saw hell after each visit.

But today, he was determined to visit Ae-cha to narrate to her what happened to her daughter.

Even if Fatima was a beast, she would certainly not get annoyed that he went to tell her fellow woman what happened to her daughter. With that determination, he left for Ae-Cha’s place after work on Friday.

By the time he drove into the compound, it was about 6:30pm, Ae-Cha had already lost hope of his coming. He had never kept his promises to her, so she was not surprised if he did not come.

She was only too worried about her daughter, the only hope of her life.

When she saw him drove into the compound, she was relived. And went to welcome him into the house.

He looked at her from head to toes, and noted that she looked very pale and sick.

He felt sorry for her, ‘Ae-Cha am very sorry for the pains I have caused you’ he apologized to her in his mind. He did not say it out, or else, she would think that he is the sole cause of her problems.

He knew that he was a major contribute to her illness, and other problems, but he would not admit it to her.

“I have lost hope of your coming” she said to him softly.

“Hum, I had work to do.” He replied.

The woman led him into the sitting room, and helped him take off his coat.

How is business going” she inquired of his business?

“not too fine” he replied warily. “we had accumulated more debts than we can possibly pay”. He said closing his eyes in tiredness.

“but you said that your son-in-law was helping.”

He smiled faintly, “I owned his father 60million dollars.”

“60 million what! What did you borrow such money for!?”

“Business”, he said calmly. “he cancelled the debt because of Chin Sun and I could not possible ask him for more money to pay other debtors.”

The woman was simply too shocked to say any more things, she did not want to worry about Elvis and his problems, she has more things to worry about, Fatima should take care of their problems, after all, she might have contributed to dungeon that Elvis has entered.

She shrugged her shoulders and went to reset the dinner table. All she wanted to hear was what happened to her daughter, why her daughter got married to the man that Chin Sun was supposed to be married to.

She moved to the dining table to reset the table that she had earlier set and then disarranged when he did not come.

She had prepared a simple and popular meal in Z country know as Kimchi. Kimchi was Elvis favourite meal, it is made up of cabbage, radish, pumpkin, onion, ginger, and scallion with chili powder, crushed garlic and salted seafood, which she had allowed to ferment.

The moment she opened the foods, the scent filled the whole place. Elvis could not wait to be invited to the table, he went to the dining table by himself.

He gobbled the food as though he had not eaten in days. They eat the meal in silence. Ae-Cha could not wait to finish and she quickly asked him “What did you say happened to Chin Cho?” she asked impatiently.

“Relax, I will tell everything when we get to bed.” He said lazily after making sure he was filled to the brim.

Ae-Cha was surprised “are you going to spend the night here”?

“what do you expect?” Elvis retorted, “do you really expect me to go back to K city this night. Don’t I have the right to sleep in my own house.

Elvis had purposely came late and was prepared to spend the weekend with the woman.

“well. I .. I … I was not expecting you to spend the night” she stammered out.

“Not to worry, there are many rooms, in the house so you can sleep in one of them.” She concluded fretfully.

She was not about to allow the man to touch her, the last time he came was five years ago, and then disappeared and never came back and now he was here only to arouse the woman instinct in her and then he would leave never to come back.

Leaving her desperate for a man, and being a married woman, she could not afford to meet another man. now she had been able to control herself, he should leave her that way.

“am not only going to spend the night, but the whole weekend,” he said lazily as he stood up from his seat and went outside.

Ae-Cha gulped un shock, “are you sure, that you would not be a dead man by the time you get back.” She said as she stood up and followed him round the house.

The man was inspecting the house and noting where needed repairs.

“I am prepared to be a dead man by the time I get back. So don’t worry about that.”

In the night, after he had taken his bath, he went into another room and settled down. Ae-Cha was happy about that, thank God he has gone to stay in another room. From tomorrow till Sunday evening, they would have to discuss about Chin Cho.

Soon she slept off. But after some minutes, she felt someone was lifting the bed spread and lying beside her.

“please, Elvis don’t be silly, you know very well that am not feeling well.”

I know you are not feeling well; I promise to be gently with you.”

But the woman was adamant “!no Elvis, go back to your first wife.”

Elvis was not about to give up very easily “I have tried to stay away from you, hoping that the love I have for you will die, but now I realize that ‘true love never dies’ but I kept thinking about you.”

The woman has such a soft heart, just like her daughter Chin Cho, in-fact Chin Cho inherited such a weakness from her.

She was already convinced by Elvis.

And when she could not respond, he knew that she had accepted.

“I promise to be gentle,” he repeated himself again.

Without much fuss, the man proceeded to make love to her. after which they both heaved a sign of relief.

“sleep, I will tell you about the whole thing in the morning.”

“Elvis, you know you are making me more anxious by keeping me waiting.”

“there is nothing to be anxious about, your daughter is in a honey moon with her husband.
