Wolf

Trust! Trust is a factor which we build over time, and belief is a thing which is associated with our own self. We can get over our own trust in someone really soon, whenever we find something off about them or our expectations don't match. But we can't easily let go of our beliefs, as they are the emotions that have pretty much shaped us and our activities throughout our lives.

Myron! As soon as David took his name, Louis also realised that it was really strange for Myron to not be present there; because no matter what had happened till now, he was the one who had never left Nora's side even for a minute.

It all seemed quite obvious as soon as the realisation hit him, that he wondered how he had missed this until now. He was about to dial his number, but stopped when he saw the doctor appearing again.

This time Robin was there to rush to him before anyone else, and demanded;

"What happened to her, when will she get okay-"

"She had been attacked by an arrow...a silver arrow!"

The statement was enough to send shivers down everybody's spines!

Not only an arrow but also a silver one! How had anyone in the territory gotten their hands on one of those; and even if they had managed to get it, how had they fired it? And the most important question was, how come Nora hadn't seen it coming?!

There were too many questions going on in everyone's mind, but nobody dared to say anything, when David stepped forward again.

"Arrow!? Now you are telling me that she was attacked by an arrow!? Wasn't it a dagger, earlier!? Now what exactly is going on-"

He growled again, when the doctor interrupted hesitantly.

"I am sorry your highness! It's just... it's just…"

The doctor stammered due to being intimidated, and David, who was already at the end of his patience, snapped.

"Go on! Speak fast!"

"It's just that the shaft of the arrow had been carefully detached from her chest, only leaving the spearhead inside. It had started to dissolve in her veins as soon as it had penetrated her skin, and the silver started to spread in her bloodstream as poison-"

"What are you trying to say- SAY CLEARLY!"

David roared again, his mind racing towards conclusions faster than the doctor's tongue, conclusions that he wanted to stay as far away from as possible.

"That we all know because she is...she is…"

"What do you mean, she is...?"

"She is still alive just because she is superior than us, or else she won't be-"

"I have told you this already, and I am saying this again!

IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO HER, I WON'T LET ANYONE IN THIS TERRITORY LIVE."

5 years ago:

The beautiful silver-white wolf was standing in front of them, making all three mesmerized for a moment before they were even able to ask anything or repeat their questions!

Only after she reacted to their exclamations in unison did they all get their senses back.

"Huh! You guys were saying something?"

"Yes! Who are you, actually?" Myron asked, as he had never seen any wolf more beautiful than her.

'The proud feeling of being associated with her was giving him the feeling of being on cloud nine, while not knowing her actual identity was giving him little bouts of anxiety- how was he supposed to protect her if he himself was unaware of all her characteristics! No wonder she had been hidden by her parents for this long!'

"What are you, actually?" This was from Adrin, who had seen many Alphas in his lifetime, but a wolf as beautiful as her was standing in front of him for the first time.

A wolf, whose body seemed to emit light by itself! The dazzling white and silver soft, silky furs of her body were shining in the dim light, giving the effect of luminescence; and the most important thing which he noticed was that she was not emitting any Alpha scent. Instead, the only scent which was emanating from her body was reminding him of the fresh meadows, as if her wolf had headed towards the civilisation right after romping around in the hilly meadows, instead of being transformed right there!

"Are you for real?" This was the question asked by Robin.

'According to all he had seen by now, he was definitely sure of the fact that she was either not an Alpha at all, or if she was an Alpha, then there was no chance of her being a normal Alpha!

No normal Alpha had the characteristics she was showing, and the colour of the fur she had, along with the light radiating from her body, was only mentioned for the werewolf form of the Moon Goddess herself!'

This was the form associated with the Moon Goddess for when she was going to reincarnate on the earth, once everything got out of control, or once the wolf society started acting more like the presence of humans in them and the fight for domination of the weaker form started being evident.

He quickly shrugged off the details of the mythological books, as the girl standing in front of him was definitely not a reincarnation of the Moon Goddess- he was sure about it. And even if she was, the first thing he needed to do was get her out of that place, or the werewolf incarnation of Moon Goddess would have to go through the toughest punishment of the school.

"I am telling you once again, whatever you are thinking- drop it right this particular moment, as it would be dangerous for you to touch that-"

"But not for her!"

David replied to Henry's worry in a very calm tone, walking towards the forbidden meadows.

"David, have you gone mad? Whom are you gonna test these silver daggers on?"

"My born enemy! The girl who has been the reason for my constant curiosity since yesterday, who else?"

"You have surely gone mad!? You are planning to kill her!"

The panic in Henry's voice was evident after David's reply.

"No! Not at all! I will be the last person who wants her to die. I can bet on that, because there is something I am very curious about and this is the only thing that can prove me wrong or right! Hopefully right."

"David, you have completely lost it! You are aware of the fact that even a faint touch from silver can kill a werewolf and she is not even eighteen yet!"

"And that is what is going to be the most crucial aspect of my research."

David spoke, with a smirk on his face.
