The Bubble

"Okay everybody, if you guys are done admiring the wolf of our highly respected Her Highness, then Adrin, can you do the only job assigned to you?! Sneak her out as soon as possible, and before anyone can notice her!"

Robin spoke, making his tone rude like usual, so that no one could notice any changes in his reaction...the reaction which was overpowering him every time his eyes landed on those green eyes of hers.

'No! No! No! Robin, focus and help out this imbecile, or else it would be a great scandal and you will not be able to hide that.'

He scolded himself as he shoved all unnecessary thoughts back to where they belonged and looked at Adrin, who was getting ready to shift himself. But as far as he knew, no one could shift as quickly as Nora had shifted!

But then he noticed Myron, who was also shifting.

"What the- what are you doing, Myron, why are you shifting!? Have you forgotten about the morning Archery practice for the post of coach-"

"Exactly, this is why I am also shifting, because I haven't forgotten anything! As today's practice session is also going to be treated as the mock test, its results will be used in the selection process for the real competitors. So my absence will shift all the curiosity towards me, and no one will notice that a new student is missing."

"Have you completely lost it, or what? The new student is not any normal new student, who will remain unnoticed! I am still surprised as to how the guards have not noticed her yet, but we don't have enough time to hold a discussion about that! So you better stay back; and Adrin, you better take her wolf towards the forbidden forest. Just say that she had mistakenly entered the invisible shifting bubble leading her there, and that's why you are returning to the school campus with her, because the high-ranking protector of the forbidden forest had mistakenly not been informed of the timings for this day and had let out the bubble earlier than scheduled.

"Okay Robin!" Adrin spoke as he nodded, mentally admiring the planning capacity of the young Alpha.

"No way, there is no way that I will let her go alone in the forbidden forest! Now I will definitely go with her!" Myron objected to the plan, and gestured for her to jump out of the same window from where he had jumped earlier, to fetch Adrin. The only difference was that there was an invisible bubble present right now, which served as the direct portal to the forbidden forest.

As soon as Nora jumped, Myron was about to jump after her, but Robin subconsciously pulled him back.

He tried to keep him inside, saying, "Myron, the competition, remember!"

But what he was late in realising, was that in trying to get her out of one trouble, he himself had led her into a new one, because she was totally new to the forbidden forest.

The realization brought a high volume of panic along with it, and all three of them jumped one after another into the bubble, thinking that whatever will happen now, will be dealt with afterwards!

"David, I am repeating my warning! Think once again-"

"I have decided, Henry! Now you have to decide whether you want to help me or not."

"Okay, okay! Tell me, what do you want me to do?"

Henry surrendered, knowing that if David had decided something, he would definitely do it, with or without anyone's approval! So it would be better for him to help him in whatever this 'experiment' was, so that at least he can ensure his safety if not Nora's.

"You have to bring her here, and this work should be done today itself"

David replied, rubbing his chin and planning something further.

"But-"

"What? Getting cold feet!"

"No! Okay, I will bring her here. But until I do, you are not allowed to come out from here with that thing in your hand-"

"Oh, you mean the silver dagger!"

David spoke a little loudly, knowing exactly why Henry was not mentioning the name of the metal the dagger was made of.

"Shut up, smartass! I will be coming soon, so stay right here."

As soon as Henry left, David hurried towards the nearest bushes and pulled out the net he had prepared for his new enemy.

"This is the first time someone has been able to mess with my mind, Miss Nora Rovery! I will definitely find out your real identity, and once I know that, I will find out how to defeat you. And till then, I am extremely sorry Princess, because you will have to stay here for a while!"

He spoke to himself, grinning ear to ear mischievously, as he stepped forward and started to set up the net.

"No one is allowed to mess with my mind, but I don't know who gave you that authority and exactly how you got it...but anyway! I am really sorry for you, darling, as you and your delicate self will have to suffer here in the forbidden forest until I am done, because no one will visit here…"

He muttered to himself as he completed the full set-up, and stood up from his crouching position to pick up the red cloth in which he had wrapped the silver dagger carefully. He froze mid-motion when he felt like he heard something, but before he could have reacted or his reflexes had given him a chance to decipher what to do in this situation, he was flat on the ground with Nora on top of him.

As soon as Nora jumped into the bubble, she somehow shifted back!

"What- how!"

Before she could have analysed the situation, she had already shifted back into her human form completely. And the worst thing was, the involuntary shift had caused her hair, that had been tightly and neatly tied into a ponytail, to open and made her modest and meticulously ironed dress a little messy!

The unknown yet extremely powerful force had knocked all the breath out of her lungs and thrown her forward, making her flustered and her cheeks a deeper shade of red.

But she didn't get enough time to complete her thought, because before she was able to gain control of her movements, she had barged into someone and her pace caused him to fall to the ground. It was someone whose face was not visible to her, but she managed to lift her head slightly and the only thing she could see was his body. He had been wearing a white shirt, the two top buttons of which had been left open deliberately, and the sleeves that he had folded till his elbows were making his perfect body proportions look even more perfect, especially paired with the black jeans.

'Who was this person, and why was she so clumsy!'

A new thought appeared in her mind, but before she could find the answer to that, David's voice encountered her ears!

"I think, I am really the Moon Goddess's favourite Alpha in my generation! Look, I was just thinking about you and she has sent you directly to me!"

Saying this, he wrapped his arms around her back.
