"And why do they think that I should obey you?"

Nora said, looking at Myron and Robin one- by- one.

This is when Louis started his answer, with a self- assured smile;

"Oh! Trust me, they both have a pretty good reason to convince you to obey me-"

"Why are you still here? Here in the Crescent territory! Here in my life?"

Nora cut him off in the middle once again, remembering that she had seen getting him a little extra close, with the girl whom Myron likes. And once again, anger started to mark its presence within her veins, but just then, Louis managed to read her like a magazine.

"To help Myron get a date with Valerie for themselves, and to train you and make you learn all the rules regarding the Alphas in this territory."

"You, what?"

Nora turned and looked at him with heart eyes, as she wanted to tell him that she had never liked him this much, ever- but with her eyes alone.

"Really?"

"Yes! Really!!"

Louis replied, pasting a smile once again on his face, seeing the lines of happiness spreading on her face.

"Then I think, I could create a space for you in my life! And finally think about obeying you."

Nora replied, noticing that Louis was still staring at her face and turned towards Myron.

"Brother! I am so happy! Now finally, everything is going to fall in place."

And just when she was about to turn towards Robin for saying something, Louis chimed in once again.

"And now, I think, it is time that we should leave and you go back to sleep, as it's already late and the time for dinner is getting delayed-"

"Yes, I also think the same."

It was Myron who spoke, supporting Louis, while Robin was just standing there silently and noticing the changes in the expressions of Nora's face. And when he had finally gathered enough proof that something was bothering him, he spoke;

"You don't want to eat your dinner alone, do you?"

Eating dinner alone… the topic would be described in the best way by saying that she has become habituated of taking all the meals of her entire life alone… in a dark and closed room, but suddenly…! Suddenly when freedom was finally showing her mercy and letting her breathe in peace, the sudden greed of finding herself a loving home had also appeared in her mind… Even after being well aware of the fact that all these times, she was the one on the wrong foot and her father had always loved her.

"Nora!? You okay? Say something."

Robin coaxed her again, getting concerned by the changing expressions on her face.

"Yes… yes, it's just... just-"

"Okay then! Let's go and get ourselves a great dinner, to celebrate Nora's moving in."

Louis was the one who spoke over Nora's struggling voice, knowing that she was still trying to find the correct words to speak.

And with this, he grabbed her hands, as he proceeded;

"So sweetheart! Tell me what do you like to have?"

At this point of time, Robin realised that he could indeed break someone's nose for no reason at all, and Louis was already giving him one hundred one pretty good reasons to do so. But he held himself back, seeing that Nora was finally returning to her normal condition, and spoke,

"Then what are we waiting for, let's go to the Alpha's cafeteria… I think she will like the ambience there-"

"There is an Alpha's cafeteria?"

Nora asked with amazement,

"And this is exactly why you need to learn everything about the Alphas at the earliest!"

Louis exclaimed, proving his point while chuckling and everybody else joined him as well, confusing Nora once again. But before she could have the chance to repeat her question or raise another doubt, she felt two arms come around her shoulders as Robin wrapped them carefully around her. He started to walk with her and guided her towards Louis' car, which was already parked in the parking lot of the Alpha palace, as he had gestured to him previously.

"So you're telling me, you only drank water that day? But tell me Valerie, where did you get that water from?"

Romera probed further into her investigation, while Valerie didn't think there would be further scope of questions after her answer.

"From the water cooler, where else?"

"Okay, give me the answer to one last question of mine, and I will be handling the rest on your behalf… well, apart from apologising to Nora, that will be the only thing you have to do."

Romera remarked and took a brief pause before proceeding with the questions.

"Did you feel any changes in the taste of water?"

"I- I didn't really notice Romera."

Valerie got completely confused, but still replied slightly hesitant, with her eyebrows knit together. This is when Romera spoke again;

"Do you still have the container from which you drank the water?"

"Huh?"

Instead of giving any answer, Valerie just gave a baffled expression, when she finally realised that she indeed had the bottle from which she had drank the water and there might be some water still left in it, as she hasn't finished it completely.

So with this realisation, she stood up and headed towards the small cupboard in her room and took that bottle out. Handing it to Romera, she voiced her thoughts.

"Romera, here! This is the bottle from which I had drank the water, but I am still confused about what you are trying to do!"

Eyeing the bottle in her hand with some satisfaction, Romera calmed her questions.

"I am trying to save you, and now, I finally think I won't have to make as much effort as I had previously thought would be required to save you. Don't forget to have your dinner now, as today was a long day and tomorrow is going to be an even longer one!"

Saying this, she stood up and walked out of Valerie's room, leaving her more confused than she had ever been.
