Punishment

All this effort of finding a dark dungeon, enough to scare a little girl like Nora just to teach a lesson to the Princess, that it was not the way a Princess should behave…

David had indeed kept his morals aside for this special lesson, because at the age he was currently in, he only had two morals to begin with.

One, that everything was fair for him if it was regarding him winning the competition.

And second, he never forgave anyone who stepped anywhere near the boundary of his Pride.

And Nora? This girl was his culprit on both these grounds. But because he was going to punish her for the first time, he wanted to give her just a taste of how harsh his punishment could be.

So the moment that Henry had told him about this dungeon, he knew that only the warriors would have the keys to it. And currently, the Moon pack was indeed facing a lack of warriors, so only Valerie would have the keys to this dungeon at the moment.

And he was sure she was exactly the one whom she had a beef with.

With all these plans in place, he was just going to talk and scare her a little. He had been waiting patiently for the past fifteen minutes for the same purpose, when she arrived, placing her cautious steps inside the doorway.

"Welcome, Princess, I have been waiting for you."

The words left his mouth without his permission, followed by an obnoxious laughter as he saw her turning her back to him and rushing towards the door, trying to knock for any hope of help.

"That's completely useless! Nobody is coming to rescue you from here, unless you say sorry to me-"

"Sorry? What for?"

Nora finally accepted the reality that she was trapped in a dark room with her worst nightmare.

"Actually! You owe me an apology for literally existing in this world at the same time as me. But right now, I just want a written apology from you, pasted on the notice board, by tomorrow morning-"

"Has anyone told you yet that not only are you a narcissist, but you're very bad at making use of language, too?

You have been speaking from the past one minute, and I am yet not clear about what I should be apologizing to you for."

Nora spoke while her eyes were thoroughly scanning every corner and crevice, trying to see if she could find any other way of exiting this room. She was hoping that there had to be some other method of entrance and exit; or else, David would never have been this chill after the door had closed. Her attention was pulled towards him when she heard his voice again;

"I think I was wrong again…"

He paused and took three long steps to come near her, standing extremely close to her, at a distance from where his scent was making a cocoon around Nora's tiny stature, making sure that she never forgot that scent of his.

He lowered his head and placed it close to her ear, so that she could feel his hot breath whisking, as he spoke slowly;

"Why Princess, why is it always you who makes me change all my decisions, in both good and bad- all possible ways!

I was just here to teach you a little lesson about how to respect me and never come in my way. After that, I was going to leave you free, but now, I think I have changed my decision."

And with this declaration, he quickly pulled her against his chest, pulling both her hands to her back despite her resistance and tying them together with a rope.

After that, he just pushed her on the ground, which he knew must be freezing cold because of the structure of the dungeon that had been made to torture the creatures with both extreme heat and cold, along with the clawing darkness.

He was going to repeat his condition once again, when he heard Nora's voice challenging him,

"You think that this darkness can scare me? Then let me tell you, I am Nora Rovery, who is not afraid of darkness -"

"I bet!" He exclaimed, with an icy cold smile on his face as he continued.

"But there is one more thing that you should be afraid of… that I bet every werewolf is afraid of, and that is silver.

Ahahahaha!

I never thought punishing you is going to this much fun-"

His proclamation was interrupted by Nora, who had tolerated enough by now and snapped at him.

"Do you think I am a fool? Or do you think I will fall for your dagger drama once again?"

"Oh, I did not!

I certainly did not! But I am not trying to fool you, Princess. You are currently in the secret dungeon made to scare and punish the wild creatures who used to break the rules of the forbidden forest. It is capable of summoning the things you fear the most on its own, the moment you are left alone inside -"

"You will never come clean after doing this-"

Nora tried to speak, finally sounding a little tense, and this flicker of tension somehow fuelled his anger with more intensity than the previous challenge.

"I know, but don't worry. I have found a loophole and settled everything by erasing all the footprints that had the potential to lead towards me."

"Have a happy time ahead. Princess! Goodbye."

David headed out of the dungeon, thinking that it was not going to take more than two hours for her to realise her mistakes and tremble in fear like he wanted to see her. Feeling happy at just the thought of having pulled her down from her high horse, he walked towards the bedroom in his Alpha palace for a good nap, ditching the practice session for today. After all, after this historical punishment, he needed a break as a prize.

And he would have continued to indulge in his well- earned sleep, if he had not heard Henry's panicked voice ringing across the room.

"David! David !!! Wake up!! Wake up!! Have you heard the rumors? The princess is missing!"

"Of course I know she is missing."

He replied, sitting up on the bed and rubbing his eyes to get a proper look. His eyes were greeted with Henry's horrified expression,

"Don't tell me, she is still in the secret dungeon! Be… because I think you are aware of the fact that it is still a torture cell, which torments you mentally and physically on the basis of the most frightening fear of yours… and that could be deadly!"
