CHAPTER Fifty seven

  Ryland

I headed out to the car park after my shift. I was glad the day was over. Between some girl pretending to drown to get my attention, which is so damn wrong, then the same girl and her friends not leaving me alone, it was safe to say it had been a shitty day. My workmates found it hilarious. Me, not so much. What if someone actually needed me when I was trying to “save” her If that wasn’t enough, the cougar was back! And she was paying me way more attention than I liked.

I wished they would all just leave me alone, but it is part of the job. Maybe if I were single, it would have been different, but I was not. I didn’t want anything to do with anyone else, and no one can seem to get their head around that! I was ready for home.
