“There better be a good reason for you to be waking me up at five a.m. Ryland,” I huffed as I got dressed.
I didn’t even know where we were going. And who the hell would wake someone up at this time of the morning on their birthday I admit I was a little pissed off.
“I promise, it will be worth it, so please stop huffing,” he pouted.
I sighed and nodded. I knew he wouldn’t wake me up at this time for no reason. He would only wake me at this time if he had a plan of sorts.
“I am sorry, love,” I said, kissing him.
“It is OK. We can climb back into bed when we get back. We will only be away for an hour or so,”
We were ditching school today. I didn’t want to celebrate my eighteenth at school. I couldn’t believe that I was eighteen. It was all a little crazy.
“Sounds good. I need a coffee to take with me, a strong one if I want to stay awake,” I laughed.
