CHAPTER 116

My first two classes had gone well. Not much was happening since it was the first day, but the professors made sure we knew what we were in for. There were going to be a lot of late nights in my immediate future. I would have to work harder than I ever had in my life if I wanted to survive college.

I was on my way to meet Ben as arranged. I arrived first, grabbing a coffee from the cart, one for each of us, and went to sit and wait for him. I took a moment to take everything in. People were heading to classes or lunch, some sitting under trees to study. It was all a little surreal, and I still found it hard to believe I was part of it. I smiled, taking a sip of my coffee. A few female students passed me, checking me out and smirking. I smiled back politely.

“Aren’t you Mr. Popular” Ben chuckled, appearing in front of me.

“It would seem so.” I laughed.
