wake up Kevin Wake up! scream ben Kevin wakes up sweating and looking at Ben, Kevin says what happened.

Ben says you had a nightmare, Kevin feels relieved that everything was just a minor nightmare.

Kevin says where we are,Ben says we're going to the new survivor community, Kevin doesn't say anything as they walk through the streets towards the town center.

When they finally reach the small community where the new survivors live, the three of them enter the house where a guy in white clothes stands at the entrance. He stares at the four of them for a while, before shaking his head slightly in frustration.

"What are you doing here already? Get inside, dinner is almost ready." the man yells angrily at Ben and Kevin, he glares at both of them before storming back inside his home.

Kevin walks inside the living room with Ben and sits down on one of the couches. He watches as the boy sits down right next to him. They sit silently for a few moments.

Kevin breaks the silence. "We need to talk."

Ben looks at him confused and then sighs deeply.

"You said we can talk whenever we want. But you said we'd talk tomorrow, so tonight we're gonna talk tomorrow."

Kevin frowns and lowers his head. He wants to tell Ben, he really does, but everytime he gets close to opening up to someone, he loses the courage to talk.

"I know that this is hard, and we'll be here for you no matter what, okay?" Ben says smiling at Kevin, although his expression changes into one of concern.

Kevin nods his head and, a tall man with black glasses is red hair entering the room.

"There you two are, I thought you weren't gonna make it." the man speaks, he wears a green T shirt and dark jeans.

"Hi dad, sorry I'm late, we got lost." Ben answers.

"That's alright. I ordered us some food earlier. Come on let's go eat."

The man leads them to the dining room. Everyone is sitting at a large round table eating and chatting. They all stare at Kevin and Ben curiously.

"the tall man with red hair is black glasses says my name is Xerope White is i am the leader of this community, if there are any questions regarding the organization please ask me first."

Kevin looks down at the table, and notices the food. He never ate this type of food before. It smells delicious. He takes a bite of it. His mouth closes when he finds that it isn't bad. Maybe this will be one of his favorite meals ever. He likes the way it tastes too, it's not greasy. He glances up and sees that Xerope and the people surrounding the table are watching him. Their faces are filled with curiosity and worry.

"Are you feeling better Kevin?" Xerope asks softly.

"Yes, thank you," Kevin responds politely. He doesn't like it when people are afraid of him or treating him differently. Even though he knows it's normal for others to act this way.

"Your father tells us that you went through what must've been traumatic events recently."

"Yes," Kevin says hesitantly.

He doesn't want to talk about this. He doesn't feel like sharing these kinds of experiences with anyone, except Ben and maybe his sister, they don't deserve to hear about what they've been through.

Kevin's thoughts are interrupted by a loud thud and he notices that everyone is staring at him again. Kevin looks down at his plate and puts his attention back to it.

Ben looks at him concerned, noticing

Kevin runs out of the room and goes to the street and hides.

When Kevin is hiding he sees Xerope walking suspiciously and enters his house looking from one side looking like he was hiding something, Kevin goes to the residence where Xerope is, he looks at the window of his house and sees Xerope giving meat to a zombie girl. She looks scared, but she eats the meat anyway.

Then Xerope starts talking to her, and the girl smiles at him and laughs lightly, and Kevin realizes that this is probably a sign that the girl might like him.

Kevin watches for a couple more minutes, until Xerope grabs the girl in his arms and carries her. Kevin doesn't want to look but he follows them outside.

Once they're out of sight,Kevin goes to Xerope's house hiding, Kevin finds a Xerope diary. The entry reads:

Day 1 – 2nd day

A friend told me today is the day when the zombies come to us. We have to protect our families, I'm sorry, Elizabeth. I wish I would've gone with you instead of staying here alone.

Day 2 - 3rd day

The new survivor community came today. I'm glad that my child will be able to meet more people her age. I heard rumors of a new person appearing. I guess it will start now.

Day 7 - 4th day

This place is called the town center. I hope I'm not mistaken about the new member. If the townspeople want us to fight together I wouldn't be opposed to helping. They seem nice, and I think they could use some help.

Day 8 - 7th day

I guess our new companion will arrive tonight. I hope he's a nice boy. The new girl seems very lonely, so I guess that's understandable.

Day 8 - 2nd day

i found a zombie girl following me when i went to get supplies the girl didnt stop following me maybe she is attracted to me because of my handsome appearance. She also asked me to give her some food and she looked desperate. If this becomes the norm i would like to help her but if she tries to hurt anyone else again i wont hesitate to kill her myself.

Kevin keeps reading the diary and he suddenly stops when he hears footsteps approaching the porch. Kevin slowly rises and walks towards the door. He opens the door quietly, waiting for the sound to leave, then he peeks inside.

The new girl from the day before is still standing there. She's leaning against the wall beside the door as if trying not to fall asleep. Her brown curly hair hangs down her shoulders. She's wearing a pair of ripped pants, a yellow top, with a pair of blue sneakers. A necklace is wrapped tightly around her neck and Kevin sees that she's holding a baseball bat in one hand and a knife in the other hand. The bat is swinging back and forth, ready to strike. When she sees that she's being watched she stops swinging, but her eyes remain fixed on him. She's scared and confused, but she's definitely not weak. She has the strength to fight.

She slowly raises her hand to take off her sunglasses. At first she stays perfectly still looking at Kevin as if she's trying to see if he is a threat or just a passerby.

When he doesn't move she say you know something about Xerope's daughter, do you know where she is? Kevin can understand the fear in her voice and her words. He can't blame her either. After all, he hasn't seen her brother in weeks. Kevin wants to say that she is safe somewhere in his town, he wants to explain that he is the one she's looking for. But something makes him freeze. There's a chance that his presence would scare her even more, he couldn't risk losing her trust, she's a valuable asset.

Kevin thinks it's best if he stays quiet. As long as he remains silent, he could stay hidden forever. The chances of the people of the new survivor community finding him and taking him away from Ben aren't high. He won't let that happen. He has to stay here and wait, he needs to find a way to free himself.

Day 9 – 5th day

Xerope places her down on the floor near the bottom shelf. Kevin hears them whispering and laughing while walking further upstairs until he hears their voices fade completely.

Xerope comes out after a couple of minutes and looks left and right before turning around and heading to the stairs. Kevin stands and waits a couple more seconds before he steps out from behind the sofa. As soon as Xerope disappears upstairs, Kevin rushes to the door and runs up the stairs.

"What the hell was she doing?"

"I don't know, but I want her out of this house."

"Didn't you hear what he said? He said if they find her they will lock her up."

"Well how does he know what she is?"

"Maybe he knows more than he's letting on."

Kevin walks into the house and sits on the couch thinking about his situation. Everything's fine, he just needed a bit time to think. He feels tired and hungry.

Xerope POV:

Xerope opens the door to see who it is and is shocked to see that the Zombie girl.

Xerope looking to the side sees a teenage girl with a baseball bat in front of her,the girl says you're sick ass you have the guts to arrest a little girl!

Xerope says I have my reasons. Let's get out of here before we get caught. The girl is about to run out of the room. Then the girl gets a strange look on her face when she turns around.

"Hey!"

"What do you want? You shouldn't be here," Xerope demands.

"What the hell do you mean, the teenager says you kidnapped an innocent girl, took her home what you did to her! You son of a bitch!"

"I didn't do anything to her."

"You did! What are you gonna do to me? Are you gonna lock me up too?!"

"Why do you care? So what if I took her home? What's wrong with that?"

"Wrong with that?! Do you really expect me not to worry about her? I don't care who you were friends with you should never ever have taken someone home like that, especially without saying why you did! I trusted you."

"Listen. You should leave. Go tell someone what happened, maybe they will believe you. I doubt it but you should try anyways."

"No! How can you be so stupid!? Look what you did to her."

Before Xerope can reply the girl hits him on the face with the bat.

"How dare you touch me!"

The girl jumps on his chest, straddling him on the ground.

The girl holds the bat above her head ready to hit him, Xerope punches teenager in the face knocking her out cold. It's over, now I gotta go find Elizabeth and make sure she's ok.

Xerope picks the girl off his lap and carries her downstairs and throws her out the front door as fast as possible so nobody'll question it.

He goes upstairs and opens the bedroom door and puts the girl in the corner of the room away from the bed.

After he finishes cleaning up he heads downstairs to check on his kid and Elizabeth.

He enters the kitchen quietly, he closes the door behind him as quietly as possible hoping that no one woke up and decided to investigate. He walks towards her bedroom, he can't sleep tonight knowing he failed so many times already
