Chapter 107 The Bite

I woke up with a sore head and a parched throat. My eyes blinked severally, trying to adjust itself to the light and my brain tried to figure out where I was, then it downed on me, I was in Adrian's room. His familiar and intoxicating smell lingered in the room, and I breathed in deeply.

As I pushed myself up to a sitting position, I couldn't help but wonder how I wasn't dead. I rubbed my neck where Jane had slit, and felt nothing but smooth skin. It was like it never happened. I unzipped the light dress I had on, and pushed it off my shoulders and down to reveal my bare chest and stomach so I could see where Jane had stabbed me. I almost couldn't tell where she had stabbed me in the chest, only from the unpleasant and painful memory, could I tell. There were no scars. I healed afterall.

After pushing my dress back in place and zipping it, I moved to the edge of the bed and pushed my legs off it. As soon as they touched the cold floor, Adrian spoke, frightening me.
