At the funeral (continuation)

Eve quickly rushed to where Kwame was. She begun examining him. The family and some of the sympathizers also came around. They were all observing what Eve was doing but were also wondering who she was. One member from the family questioned her cos they all don't know her so why is she with him whilst they are rather suppose to be with him and probably send him to the hospital. A relative of kwame quickly shove her away in order to pave way for a family member to attend to him. They all had no idea of what to do since they weren't experts. What they did was to place him in a car and rush him to the hospital. Eve secretly followed . They finally got to the hospital and to their realization Eve was already there dressed in a medical scrub. They were all surprised to see her especially when they thought they had left her at the event. She quickly rushed to them with a trolley by the help of some nurses. She thought they would not hand Kwame over to them since they denied her the first time, but this time around they did due to the situation at hand and where they currently find themselves.

She quickly sent him straight to the VIP males ward were he was been giving immediate treatment. They tried reviving him and with several atttemps Kwame gain concious but he was very weak. It looked as if his strength had been drained down. He tried lifting himself up which wasn't the best. He wanted to go back to the funeral grounds where he felt his soul mate was. He became aggressive wanting to get up but the nurses tried to stop him and calm him down. Kwame failed to comply. His thoughts were full of his wife's memories. Upon several attempts of calming him which failed, the nurses became fed up and the only option for them was to forcefully make him calm by giving him an injection to make him sleep. One of the nurses went out of the room to the nurse in charge that's Evelyn to complain about how Kwame was behaving. She was attending to a patient when the stuff nurse came to her with the complain. She immediately stopped whatever she was doing and had to quickly rush to Kwame leaving the nurse in charge of the patient she was attending to. When she got there, she saw the nurses holding him firmly to the bed with one nurse ready to give him the sedative.

Eve eye messaged the nurse with the injection to stop and also the nurses holding him to leave him. She went close to Kwame, held his hands without saying anything to him. Kwame just simmered down all of a sudden when he realized that is was Eve. The nurses begun looking at each others faces confused but said nothing. Eve instructed the nurses to leave her and Kwame in the room alone. She then pull out a chair closer to her and sat on it. She placed her left hand on his forehead representing a comforting stroke with her right hand still holding his right hand, rubbing it at the same time. Kwame felt relaxed. None of them said anything to each other. In the moment of comfort, he fell asleep. Eve had to leave him alone to rest since that was the goal. She gave him a kiss on his forehead and left the room to her duty. He was discharged the next day. He wasn't fully recovered but he wanted to go and pay his last respect to his wife and probably drop some flowers. He was excorted by Gal to the cemetery. Kwame, accompanied by Gal , proceeded to the cemetery, a serene haven amidst sorrow. The sun's gentle descent cast long shadows, as if nature itself mourned.

Upon arriving, Kwame's gait faltered. Gal steadied him, their presence a beacon. Before the grave, Kwame paused, emotions welling. With trembling hands, Kwame grasped a bouquet of crimson roses – Davida's favorite. He whispered, "Farewell, beloved. Rest now."

Petals kissed the earth as Kwame scattered flowers upon the grave. Tears mingled with the soil. Gal stood vigil, his silence a testament to shared grief. Kwame's heart-wrenching whispers echoed:

"May your beauty, wit and love forever bloom in heaven. Davida, my guiding light, I'll cherish memories."

Kwame's voice cracked. Eve's gentle touch on his shoulder offered solace.

As twilight deepened, Kwame laid a final rose, his fingers tracing the inscription:

"Davida, Beloved Wife, Cherished Mother, Eternal Love." With Gal, Kwame stepped back, his eyes never leaving the grave. The duo stood united, suspended in sorrow.

The cemetery's tranquility enveloped them. Nature's symphony – rustling leaves, chirping crickets – soothed Kwame's shattered heart.
