It is a truth usually acknowledged by those of upper society that those without money cannot move on. It is also a truth acknowledged that those cunning enough to take the risk, will reap the reward. This cunning truth is what I was faced with as I was swept up by another nameless Lord to dance in the center of a gaggle of vampires.

Late into the night, I accepted the fact that Levi was better off in the arms of a ‘well-to-do’; or at the very least was making use of the wine choice of the evening. I had little time to truly think over the consequences of my friend’s actions as I was spun, dipped, twisted, and swayed into a head spin. I just barely managed to excuse myself from a southern lord when I ran face first into a suit of red and gold.

I went to sidestep myself towards the table holding refreshments, when two cold hands held me in place by my arms.
