Josiah P.O.V
My mother once gave me some advice when I was younger. ‘Josiah, whenever you feel lost, trust the higher powers. They know your heart and soul’, she had told me. I never truly followed the higher powers, finding them to be useless when they took my parents away from me. Despite this, being at the lowest I possibly could’ve been, I found myself calling upon the higher powers for a miracle.
My prayer to the higher power was silent. I knew that if I spoke the words out loud, my emotions would get the better of me and I would start crying. I refused to allow this to be the time I cried; my pride wouldn’t allow it to happen. My attention on the glass pile was switched towards the lone window in the room.
