Chapter 16: Josiah Rose

Going with Malik around the kingdom was tedious work. Not to mention that he seemed more than less enthused about the entire ordeal. During the entire search, he left me to do all the busy work.

“You know, this whole search is for you,” I glared at him as we made our way to the outer areas of Colkest. The night after the ball, when my mother went to talk to Sias, Malik came into his office—confessing his love for the mysterious prince. While his declaration of love towards my mate angered me, it made Sias’ announcement of searching for said mate a lot easier.

Despite all this, Malik of course kept his stubborn head about him and displayed himself to not give a care. While I made the quick work to arrange getting the soldiers needed to make this search successful, he refused to help in the slightest. His arrogance was making it especially difficult to work with him.
